Introducing Dogtown, the latest district and focal point of Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion. In the previous mission, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, players were made aware that time is of the essence. The President of the New United States of America has crash-landed and it falls upon V to reach the location before Hansen and his gang.
With no time to spare, players must act swiftly as they embark on this crucial main mission. The clock is ticking for Madame President, making it imperative to arm oneself and mobilize. As players traverse through the city, they will encounter the formidable guards of Dogtown, showcasing the city's most challenging obstacles as they race against time to save their lifeline.
Reach the Crash Site
Sliding down from a tall tube after Air Force One passes low overhead, players are immediately thrown into the heart of the action, amidst the chaos of Dogtown. Upon landing in a sea of garbage, their first task is to locate a vehicle. Strewn around them and just up ahead on the road are numerous cars and motorcycles. The specific choice of vehicle is inconsequential; the priority is to reach the destination swiftly.
It is highly advisable to opt for a motorcycle, given the vast amount of wreckage and heavy traffic. A motorcycle possesses the ability to deftly maneuver around these obstacles, and the inclusion of specially constructed metal ramps adds an enticing element of excitement to this race against time. Eventually, players will encounter a strategic point controlled by Barghest, the private army of Dogtown. They can choose to confront them head-on, eliminate them all, or take a stealthier approach to bypass and progress towards their next objective.
It's important to keep in mind that should players take excessive time during this segment, President Myers’ safety will be at risk, and the forces of Dogtown will terminate her. In the event of this happening, players will unlock an undisclosed conclusion where Songbird deactivates V’s system, and they will regain consciousness outside of Dogtown, with Johnny Silverhand casually dismissing this unsuccessful mission. In case players do fail the Hole in the Sky quest in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, they can simply retrieve an auto-save.
Talk To Songbird And Fight To The Wreckage
Once past the vigilant Dogtown security team, players will ascend a ladder and find themselves inside a towering crane. Within this towering structure, they will come face to face with Songbird, who watches intently as the NUSA security bots valiantly battle against the relentless Barghest. Songbird, a crucial ally, will then initiate the crane's machinery, granting V the opportunity to descend into the heart of the warzone. It is of utmost importance for the players to exercise caution, for they risk unintentionally harming their NUSA allies during the intense engagement. Instead, their focus should be directed towards neutralizing the numerous henchmen under the command of Hansen.
After successfully defeating the Dogtown guards, the battlefield becomes enveloped in smoke and rubble. As players progress forward, they must carefully navigate through the debris, sliding underneath it. In this precarious situation, they will encounter further challenges as they catch a glimpse of the crashed Air Force One. It is possible for players to proceed quietly and avoid detection, but the enemy forces are not excessively formidable. It is advisable to utilize the enhanced skills and cyberware introduced in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 to eliminate all adversaries efficiently.
Find Rosalind Myers
Now that the Dogtown guards have been eliminated, it is imperative to enter Air Force One and locate Rosalind Myers, the President of NUSA. Upon investigating the wreckage, players will come across numerous deceased civilians onboard. However, there is a singular item of significance that warrants attention: a suitcase containing the exclusive NUCA Suit attire, which players are free to claim for themselves.
Defeat The Attackers
As players make their way toward Air Force One, Songbird will open the door to a secure room where Myers is expected to be present. Upon entering the room, Myers will launch an attack, gaining the upper hand over the players. Regardless of whether the players successfully complete the quick-time event or not, Myers will have V at gunpoint. In order to earn her trust, all players need to do is answer her question, as both options will yield the same outcome.
Now that V has confirmed Rosalind Myers is alive, it is crucial to stand up for her. More of Hansen’s forces have arrived at the crash site, demanding that V and Myers prevent any of them from returning home. This battle can be exceptionally challenging, and it is recommended to hold the position, utilize mid/long-range weapons, and take cover within Air Force One.
For players in need of ammunition, they should swiftly make their way to the room where they encountered Myers. Inside, they will discover an abundance of ammo crates along with a special SOR-22 rifle. This rifle possesses remarkable accuracy, range, and the ability to fire in semi-automatic mode, making it an excellent weapon for the upcoming battle.
In this area, there are multiple adversaries, each with their own health bar. Among them is a formidable robot enemy that can pose a threat to those lacking the Vulnerability Analytics Relic skill. This skill grants the ability to instantly eliminate the robot. After overcoming numerous waves of these enemies, they will finally cease to appear, allowing both V and Myers to catch their breath. Additionally, a call from Songbird will be received, marking the conclusion of the Hole in the Sky mission and the beginning of Spider and the Fly.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
