Two new couples have been added to the upcoming season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? This comes as Angela Deem and Nicole Sherbiny are facing challenges in their marriages. Angela and her husband Michael Ilesanmi from Nigeria were announced as part of the cast on Valentine's Day. Angela shared the good news that Michael's visa had been approved for him to join her in the U.S. However, there was some drama when Angela reported Michael missing from their Georgia home in February.
It was later revealed that Michael was not actually missing, but he was trying to escape Angela because he feared for his safety. On the other hand, Nicole's husband, Mahmoud El Shebriny from Egypt, was reportedly arrested for domestic violence in Los Angeles on February 20, allegedly against Nicole. Many fans speculated that these controversial couples would be replaced on the show. However, the new couples joining 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 will not be replacing Angela and Nicole.
Do Nikki & Justin Appear In A New Spin-Off?
Is Nikki & Justin’s Spicy Storyline Too Scandalous For TV?
90 Day Fiancé's Nikki Exotika & Igor AKA Justin - Is Nikki & Justin’s Spicy Storyline Too Scandalous For TV? - Do Nikki & Justin Appear In A New Spin-Off?
Nikki Exotika and Justin may not have seemed like the perfect fit for 90 Day Fiancé. Justin's K-1 visa was approved, but he still had months to wait before joining Nikki in the U.S. Their relationship had its ups and downs - Justin had initially moved to America to marry Nikki many years ago, only to leave after feeling betrayed. The two met when Nikki was 30 and Justin was 20 on a friendship website. Despite their age difference, Justin was smitten with Nikki and proposed after two years of dating.
During those two years, Nikki never disclosed to Justin that she was transgender.
Almost 17 years later, Nikki and Justin reconnected. She reapplied for Justin's K-1 visa and traveled to Chișinău to reunite with him and meet his family. Nikki soon learned that Justin had not been entirely honest about his past. He had been involved with other individuals before dating Nikki and had misrepresented his occupation as a fitness trainer when, in reality, he relied on Nikki for financial support. Despite this, Nikki chose to forgive Justin and return to America with a positive outlook.
Is Sam & Citra's Drama-Free Love Story A Facade?
Sam and Citra appear to have a love story without any drama. However, is their relationship as perfect as it seems on the surface? Let's take a closer look at their dynamic to see if there might be more going on behind the scenes.
Sam & Citra Are Too Boring For A New Season
Sam and Citra montage from 90 Day Fiance - Sam & Citra Are Too Boring For A New Season - Is Sam & Citra's Drama-Free Love Story A Facade?
Sam Wilson didn't make a great first impression when he first appeared in season 10. He arrived late to the party because his scenes with Citra hadn't been shown for several weeks. When Sam finally made his reality TV debut, he shocked viewers by revealing a dark secret he had been keeping from Citra. He also opened up about his past struggles with drug addiction, which started when he was just a teenager. Although Sam claimed to have been clean since the age of 22, some fans doubted the truthfulness of his story based on his behavior in certain scenes.
Online discussions about Sam's appearance also sparked curiosity among fans. Many viewers couldn't help but notice Sam's chin and jaw, leading to various theories about the possibility of him having missing teeth.
Sam and Citra’s storyline was considered wholesome compared to the other couples this season. Sam converted to Citra’s religion in order to marry her and impress her father, Herman. Despite facing some challenges, Sam and Citra had a memorable wedding.
Fortunately, Sam did not end up in jail. If he had, their storyline could have taken a dramatic turn, possibly leading to a spin-off series. Citra adjusting to life in America without her husband could have been an interesting plot, but since Sam and Citra are living drama-free, their story is not exciting enough for another season.
Are Ashley & Manuel Filming More 90 Day Fiancé?
Will Ashley Bring Her Magic To Happily Ever After?
Ashley Michelle and Manuel Velez may not have been everyone’s favorite couple on 90 Day Fiancé season 10, but they sure brought the drama. Like Nikki and Justin, Ashley and Manuel had been engaged before but broke up due to the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Their paths crossed in Ecuador on New Year’s Eve, leading to a whirlwind engagement within a week. Although they split when Ashley returned to the U.S., they eventually reunited seven years later.
Ashley’s go-to solution for disagreements with Manuel was to be intimate. This was their way of coping with major obstacles throughout the season. The couple’s biggest source of tension was money, with Manuel feeling the wedding expenses were too high while also wanting to support his family back home. When faced with relationship issues, Manuel tended to avoid them by running away. Despite this, Manuel ended up marrying Ashley in the finale.
Ashley and Manuel were seen filming for 90 Day Fiancé by a fan named ThatGreekGuy on Reddit. The fan, who is actually their neighbor, shared that the couple were filming on November 16, 2023, before their wedding aired in February. The fan also mentioned that Manuel and Ashley had been filming since Summer 2022, and they tied the knot on September 8, 2022. This means that Ashley and Manuel have almost a year’s worth of content.
Entertainment Tonight officially announced that Ashley and Manuel would be part of the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 cast on February 26. The couple will make their return to TV on March 17, right after appearing in the two-part Tell All episode. The show will focus on the couple a year after their marriage. Ashley is still suspicious that Manuel is keeping big secrets from her.
