Meg Bellamy, a newcomer, is making her first appearance on Netflix as Princess Kate Middleton in season 6 of The Crown. The first part of the final season of The Crown will start streaming on Friday, November 16. This season will mainly revolve around the events related to Princess Diana's tragic death in 1997. Elizabeth Debicki will reprise her role as Princess Diana, while Dominic West will portray King Charles III.

In December, when part two airs, the focus will shift to the younger generation of royals. This includes Bellamy and Ed McVey playing Kate and Prince William respectively. In the first half of the season, Rufus Kampa takes on the role of a young William.

Season 6 will showcase the early days of Kate and William's romance as they were students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Bellamy shared her experience of auditioning, stating that she closely observed Kate in order to portray her accurately. Since there are no recordings of Kate speaking during the time period that she portrays, Bellamy had to rely on her imagination to capture her youth.

During her first major TV project, Bellamy found herself feeling surprisingly comfortable on set. She described it as a well-oiled machine with a calm atmosphere, where she didn't feel the pressure of everyone's expectations on her.

While she has managed to maintain a low profile so far, Bellamy acknowledges that things may change once The Crown airs. She expressed her desire to continue working and gain momentum in her on-screen career. Auditioning and reading scripts have been a pleasant experience for her, and she hopes to do more of it in the future.
