With Loki Season 2 captivating its viewers with unexpected twists, many fans ponder the true nature of Miss Minutes, the artificial intelligence powering the TVA. Marvel's Loki makes its triumphant return to the television realm, as the anticipation builds for the premiere of its second season, focusing on the adventures of Thor's mischievous sibling.
Throughout Season 1, viewers were introduced to the TVA (Time Variance Authority) and its animated mascot, Miss Minutes. However, her true nature remained ambiguous, leaving uncertainty regarding whether she was a benevolent character or harbored darker intentions. Here's what we have discovered about this enigmatic living clock belonging to the TVA.
Is Miss Minutes good or evil in Loki?
Miss Minutes seems to be a bit more on the evil side in Loki Season 1, even though she thinks her intentions are for the greater good.
Upon initially encountering Miss Minutes, fans are introduced to a cheerful and animated artificial intelligence clock, who operates within the TVA. She serves the purpose of extracting information while also maintaining the facade that the Time Keepers were responsible for the creation of the TVA and the Sacred Timeline.
However, in the Season 1 finale, Miss Minutes greets Loki and Sylvie at the end of time, which reveals that she was actually working for the bad guy all along.
Miss Minutes was created by Kang the Conqueror, also known as He Who Remains, to assist in managing the TVA while he resided at the end of time.
In an unsettling and intrusive fashion, she entices both Loki and Sylvie with the enticing prospect of living the lives they have always desired.
Despite their refusal and determination to confront He Who Remains, Miss Minutes remains undeterred and eventually joins forces with Judge Ravonna Renslayer to defeat Sylvie and Loki. Fans gained further insight into Miss Minutes' sinister nature in Episode 3 when she attempted to eliminate Renslayer in order to become Timely's top companion.
He Who Remains, the creator of the TVA, had an AI clock that served as his companion. They frequently engaged in games of chess and had conversations, fostering a friendship. Over time, Miss Minutes developed romantic feelings for He Who Remains.
Unfortunately, Timely, who is not the same as his Kang variant, rejected her advances. This dismissal revealed to fans that Miss Minutes is not the helpful clock they had perceived her to be.
The extent of her determination to extricate He Who Remains from Timely remains uncertain, but viewers can rest assured that there is a multitude of tricks concealed within those gloved hands.
