Unveiling the Controversial Design Flaw That Animal Crossing Players Can't Ignore in Katrina's Character

Animal Crossing fans are left unsettled as a devoted player uncovers a glaring omission in Katrina the fortune teller's design Discover the missing feature that has fans buzzing with concern in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

An attentive fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has pointed out an unsettling yet comical omission regarding Katrina the fortune teller. This discovery has forever changed the way fans view Katrina in the game.

Since its launch in March 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a massive success for Nintendo. By the end of that year, the game had sold over 30 million copies. Many attribute this success to the pandemic, as the game provided a virtual world for players to explore during lockdowns and social distancing. However, another factor contributing to the game's popularity is the irresistibly cute nature of its characters. The colorful, chibi-style design of the humanoid animals brings immense joy to players, enthralling them to return to their virtual island day after day. Notably, not all animals in the game are charming, with some displaying peculiar or absent features.

A Reddit user with the username Questionmarkcat recently shared a close-up image of a character named Katrina from the popular game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, pointing out an interesting detail - the character does not have a nose. At first glance, it may appear that Katrina's nose is positioned in the middle of her face, but it is actually just her muzzle without a nose above it. It's surprising that many players hadn't noticed this subtle feature before, as it becomes quite obvious once it is pointed out.

Katrina, the fortune-teller, is a dark-blue panther character that can be found on Harv's island within the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players have the option to pay a fee in bells to influence their luck at Katrina's station or receive a friendship reading that reveals the current status of their relationship with a specific in-game villager. In previous versions of Animal Crossing, Katrina's tent would also hide a Triforce symbol from the Legend of Zelda series, providing an additional element of discovery for players.

In regards to the comments on Questionmarkcat's post, many of Katrina's fans were unaware of her missing nose until it was brought to their attention. Some individuals express that they will never view the fortune-teller in the same way, while others classify Katrina as one of the most eerie characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Several commenters even shared edited images of Katrina with a photoshopped nose. A standout comment was made by Ireallyamtired, stating, "She foresees the future, she doesn't rely on smell."

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is currently accessible for Nintendo Switch.
