Anjana Vasan portrays Nida, a timid sales assistant working in the shoe department of a department store. Throughout her daily life, Nida endures mistreatment and discrimination, primarily at her workplace, which triggers intrusive thoughts of committing acts of violence, particularly against her rude coworker. One fateful day, while exploring the store's basement, Nida stumbles upon a small wooden object. Accidentally pricking her finger, she inadvertently spills some blood onto it, unknowingly awakening a malevolent demon. Papa Essiedu takes on the role of Gaap, the demon inadvertently summoned by Nida through a mysterious wooden object. Gaap reveals to Nida the dire consequences of not complying with his demand to perform three human sacrifices within the next three days, in order to avert the impending apocalypse. Furthermore, Gaap presents Nida with visions portraying the gruesome actions and bleak futures of the potential victims. Playing the role of Vicky, Nida's coworker, Katherine Rose Morley brings a powerful portrayal of a racist individual. Morley is known for her previous roles as Ellie in Last Tango in Halifax, Emma Moxam in the TV series Thirteen, Chloe Anderson in Clink, and Keeley Sanderson in The Syndicate.
