Katie Thurston bids farewell to "FBoys" as she discovers her perfect match on FBoy Island.

During the season 3 finale of FBoy Island, which aired on The CW on December 8, Katie, 32, chose Vince Xu over Benedict Polizzi. Vince, 31, was labeled as a "nice guy" on the show and as a result, he and Katie split the $100,000 prize fund. Benedict, 33, had the option to steal the entire jackpot for himself, but he did not plan to do so if he had won.

"I wanted to share that I've found true love. Vince, I love you," Katie excitedly announced in the recent Friday episode, prompting Vince to call it a "dream come true."

Following the episode, both Katie and Vince used social media to hint at the status of their romance.

@vincexu, I’m grateful that our paths have crossed and that you are now part of a chapter in my life that I will always cherish. It was great to finally experience those bottomless mimosas we talked about while on the island. Vince replied with three heart emojis and shared the image on his Instagram Story. He also posted a fortune cookie message that said, "You will find good fortune in love" on a subsequent Story slide. Katie had posted the same fortune cookie with a mystery man in the background several hours earlier.

Katie, previously known from her stint on The Bachelorette season 17, was revealed as one of the leads for FBoy Island season 3 in July. Alongside her were Hali Okeowo and Daniella Grace, who ultimately chose Mercedes Knox and Christian Love, respectively. Throughout the season, Katie, Hali (28), and Daniella (33) navigated through a mix of unidentified "nice guys" and "FBoys."

Katie quickly formed strong connections with both Vince, who had previously been engaged to his high school crush on Prime Video's The One That Got Away, and Marco Delvecchio. Despite Vince's initial blunder of mixing up her cat's name, Katie found herself falling for him as she navigated her options. However, her world was turned upside down when Benedict, the runner-up from FBoy Island season 2, unexpectedly arrived and stole her heart.

As Katie continued to explore her feelings, she was taken aback by the revelation that Vince was a "nice guy," while Benedict had been labelled an "FBoy." Despite this, Benedict insisted that he genuinely cared for her and even offered to split the prize money with her as a gesture of his feelings.

Katie’s journey in reality TV began when she appeared on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor in 2020. A year later, she became the Bachelorette and became engaged to Blake Moynes, but the relationship ended. She briefly dated her former contestant John Hersey before appearing on FBoy Island, her first attempt at dating after the split.

"I had multiple reasons for joining the show," Katie revealed exclusively to We in October. "After being invited, I watched season 2 and thought, 'Let’s see what this show’s about.' It was so hilariously satirical, which was a refreshing change from my Bachelor experience. I was looking for something more lighthearted."

She exclaimed, "There's a possibility of falling in love, winning money, and making new friends. It was just a win-win-win situation all around."

Upon arriving at the set, Katie noticed that she had much more one-on-one time with her suitors compared to her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

"I would just lose track of time, and then suddenly another guy would come. I'd think, 'Oh right, there are other guys here,'" she joked to Us. "It felt like a normal experience in a very abnormal environment. There wasn't much outside interference."
