As The Haunting commences, Activision has unveiled the patch notes, featuring a plethora of fresh rewards, skins, and equipment. Additionally, thrilling Halloween variations of familiar modes and maps have been introduced. Previously, Call of Duty enthusiasts discovered the opportunity to acquire the illustrious Butcher's Meat Hook in Diablo 4. However, the latest revelations indicate that players can now wield eerie new weaponry on the battlegrounds of Call of Duty. Prepare for a spine-chilling experience with the unique decoy grenade and the Sound Veil Scream field upgrade, which will leave adversaries disoriented by terrifying screams and haunting imagery.

Operators in Modern Warfare will now have the opportunity to showcase their style with new skins featuring iconic characters like Skeletor from He-Man, Ash from Evil Dead, and Inarius from Diablo. Alongside these cosmetic changes, multiplayer modes will undergo thematic revamps, such as scarecrows replacing Domination flags and skulls replacing dog tags. Additionally, the El Asilo and Embassy maps will receive a darker atmosphere for the duration of the event. Although Modern Warfare 2 may not be considered the top Call of Duty game for Zombie mode, players can still expect an abundance of undead fun this season.

In addition to major updates and additions, Activision has also implemented numerous bug fixes and minor tweaks. The company promises ongoing weapon balancing as the event progresses. For instance, the Season 6 update significantly improved the performance of the Lachman-762 battle rifle in Warzone, so it wouldn't be surprising if this weapon, along with others, undergoes nerfs and other balance adjustments in the coming weeks.

The Haunting: Soul Capture Event

Experience the spine-chilling Soul Capture Event, now available in both Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone! This thrilling event offers a terrifying twist on the beloved Trophy Hunt Event from Season 03. In all game modes, each time a Player is eliminated, they will leave behind a haunting Soul. These Souls are automatically added to your total count, eliminating the need to visit a Buy Station in Call of Duty: Warzone or DMZ this time. Collect these Souls and exchange them for a variety of items showcased in the Events Tab.

Possessed Equipment: Did You Hear That? Did You See That?

Please exercise caution when using the following Loadout equipment, as some items may be experiencing supernatural effects:

Sound Veil Scream (Field Upgrade): When entering the sound wave of the Suppression Mine, be prepared for a disorienting auditory attack, as the atmosphere becomes filled with the haunting screams of the deceased!

Decoy Grenade (Tactical): Reports of inhuman and monstrous sounds peppered with gunfire make this more than just an audio hallucination.

BUG FIXES

The Player will no longer be kicked to the Main Menu when previewing a Weapon through the Gunsmith due to a fixed issue. Additionally, the Oni Operator Pack no longer contains any placeholder elements when previewing the bundle.

Fixed an issue where the Dragonfly Blueprint was not displaying the correct Weapon Skin

Fixed an issue where the Super Shotgun could display an incorrect reload animation

The Horangi Skin "Death Frame" no longer has an incorrect appearance.

Toggling some Optic perspectives on the Bryson 800 and Bryson 890 no longer results in hearing an incorrect melee sound.

The issue where modifying a Blueprint's tuning or attachments could result in the removal of the base weapon name in the Loadout Menu has been resolved.

The functionality of the "Equip to Favorite Loadout" button would sometimes be lost when the same weapon was equipped in both the Primary and Secondary slots. This has been fixed.

Fixed an issue where spawns on Fight were incorrect in Gunfight Private Matches

Fixed an issue where the Super Shotgun displayed an incorrect canted laser placement on Black Gold

Resolved a bug that previously hindered Players' ability to browse menu options accurately in a Private Match due to specific inputs.

Addressed a bug that caused a significant decrease in framerate when transitioning between the "All" and "Prestige" tabs within the Calling Card section.

DOWNLOADS

The download size of the Season 06 Reloaded update will be larger than our usual seasonal updates. This is necessary to prepare COD HQ, the game launcher for Call of Duty, for future seasonal content and the release of Modern Warfare III. Please note that PC users will need extra space on their hard drives for the patch copying process. It's important to remember that this is only temporary space and will be freed up once the patch installation is complete. This does not require an additional download.

Experience a Spooky Twist on Traditional Modes

Accompanying the alterations made to Maps, The Haunting event introduces Halloween-themed variations to a few handpicked modes. Despite the overarching objectives remaining intact, take on the challenge of completing them without succumbing to fear.

Haunting Domination:

Take control of all the points on the map as you usually would. However, in this version of Domination, each flag will be marked by a Scarecrow.

Haunting Kill Confirmed & Grind:

Instead of collecting Dog Tags, gather skulls in both Grind and Kill Confirmed game modes.

Capture and maintain control of the Drop Zone to accumulate points for your team, but exercise caution when opening crates, as you never know what surprises may await you!

Witness the relentless zombie invasion in Infected mode, where players who are infected will take on the appearance of Zombies inspired by The Haunting theme.

The Halloween spirit is alive and well with two Haunting map updates: El Asilo celebrates Día de Muertos, while Embassy becomes the site of a devastating zombie attack.

El Asilo

Towering calaveras overlook the Día de Muertos celebrations, adding to the grandeur of the asylum. The surroundings are adorned with vibrant painted and neon skulls, accompanied by marigolds, candles, and altars that pay tribute to dearly departed individuals.

Diplomatic relations have deteriorated: Execute a nocturnal mission on the Embassy premises in response to a horrifying zombie assault. The distress signal "Send Help" is suspended from the rooftop, yet it is futile... the zombie attack has already transpired, leaving behind wreckage and physical harm.

The Spooky Limited-Time Event

Operation Nightmare is a GO! Explore eerie anomalies throughout the map and confront a variety of terrifying enemies as you make progress on a Bounty board filled with otherworldly horrors! The Butcher is on the hunt for new victims in Al Mazrah and Vondead! Defeating this abomination will grant a special item that can be used in Diablo IV. Keep an eye on the Call of Duty website for instructions on how to redeem this reward.

Welcome to Vondead, where a demonic incantation has caused an uncontrollable zombie epidemic throughout Vondel. The streets have been brutally ravaged by the undead, all under the eerie glow of a blood red moon. Prepare yourself for shocking revelations lurking in the shadows!

Experience the thrilling return of Zombie Royale! This notorious limited-time mode presents exciting new features while retaining its chaotic essence. Step back into the battlefield as a ferocious, nimble Zombie. It's a fight for survival, where failure means becoming a meal for the undead horde!

Vondead: A Spooky Twist on Vondel with a New Limited-Time Map Variant

A mysterious sorceress's incantation has caused a zombie outbreak in Vondel, resulting in unexplainable occurrences. The incantation has turned the once calm weather into a truly horrifying experience.

In order to maximize their chances of survival, humans have barricaded Market, turning it into the city's prime location for valuable loot.

In an effort to safeguard civilians fleeing through the Train Station, authorities have successfully drained the adjacent canal.

Zombie Royale New Limited-Time Mode (In-Season)

The highly anticipated Halloween season Mode has made its triumphant return, bringing along beloved past features and exciting new elements. However, the fundamental rules remain unchanged: Once players meet their demise, they are resurrected as formidable zombies, equipped with a dazzling array of abilities.

These relentless undead beings must relentlessly pursue and annihilate any remaining traces of life.

Players that die as a zombie are eliminated from the match - unless they wait for the infestation meter to return all spectators to the match as a zombie

Players are now able to play Lockdown under an ominous moonlit, night-time variant of Vondel!

Fair warning: Players may want to brace for the unexpected when opening it.

Bloodseeker New Tactical EquipmentThis grenade is the perfect tool to find enemies in a dark environment.

Throw it near an enemy Player and it will lunge itself towards them, revealing their position as well as surrounding enemy Players within a short distance.

DMZ Operators can experience The Haunting via infiltration to Al Mazrah at night - where Operation Nightmare awaits. Face down the horrors of the Hellmouth with your squad.

BUG FIXES

Fixed an issue that could prevent Players from changing/customizing Operators in DMZ

Resolved a problem that could render the ATV unusable in the event of a failed Hostage Rescue contract within the radiation zone in the DMZ.

Addressed an issue that hindered the successful fulfillment of the "Cartel No More" Mission in the DMZ.

Fixed an exploit that allowed Players to get under the map on Vondel in DMZ

Fixed an issue where the Player could damage themselves with the Grenade Turret on the MRAP in DMZ

Improved:

Resolved the exploit enabling Players to be revived even after their squad was eliminated in DMZ.
