Players of Tears of the Kingdom can initiate the 'Duchess Who Disappeared' Side Quest by conversing with an NPC named Fin, who can be found near the Hebra Tundra in the northwest region of Hyrule. It is advisable for players to equip themselves with cold resistant armor or food with cold resistant properties before making their way to this location.
Starting the 'The Duchess Who Disappeared'
Fin can be found near a campfire on a fairly tall cliff at the coordinates -3519, 3105, 0316. The NPCs location can also be seen in the image below:
Where is Selmie?
Link has been tasked by Fin to locate Selmie, who has gone missing and left him worried. Fortunately, the cave where she is located is conveniently nearby Fin's current position. To reach the East Biron Snowshelf Cave, players need to face the mountain west of Fin and jump down to find the entrance. The cave's coordinates are -3552, 3092, 0274, and it can be easily accessed through this route.
Venture into the depths of the cave and break down the sturdy rock walls obstructing your path until you stumble upon Selmie, who is relaxing by a warm campfire. She explains to Link that she took advantage of the blizzard to create a new and exciting sledding course for her students, but ended up carelessly sliding into the cave and getting herself stuck. Once you help her out by demolishing the rock wall blocking her escape, speak to Selmie again and she will be free to leave. She eagerly invites Link to visit her at her lodge, which is located northwest of Hebra Peak.
Before leaving the cave, players should walk into the cavern east of Selmie's location to find a Bubbulfrog. Defeat it to receive a Bubbul Gem.
Selmie's Spot Location
Selmie's lodge is located north of Coldsnap Hollow and northwest of Hebra East Summit at the coordinates -2958, 3138, 0571.
