Claytan Cardenas, the actor from Mayans M.C., has expressed how challenging it was to film Ezekiel's (J.D. Pardo) shocking death in season 5. Since the show's premiere in 2018, EZ has been a significant character. However, in the finale of the final season, it is revealed that he is an informant and is consequently murdered by his own team. Cardenas recently discussed his experience filming this emotional scene on the Mayans Templo Talk podcast.
It was an extremely challenging day for everyone involved. The scene we had to shoot was particularly difficult. From the moment we arrived on set, emotions were running high, and tears were already starting to flow even before we began filming. Personally, I found myself in tears more than anyone else. I was overwhelmed, lying on the ground, unable to contain my emotions. It was an incredibly tough moment for all of us. It was during that moment when reality hit us hard - we realized that it was all coming to an end. There would be no more tomorrow, no possibility of seeing some of these incredible individuals again.
