How Pack-a-Punch works
Upgrade Weapons in MW3 Zombies: A Guide to the Pack-a-Punch Machine
MW3 Zombies introduces a thrilling extraction mode to Call of Duty, courtesy of Treyarch. While it deviates from the traditional round-based format, many beloved Zombies features are still present, including the iconic Pack-a-Punch machine. That being said, there are some noteworthy changes from the past, and we're here to provide you with all the essential information to enhance your weapons in MW3 Zombies.
How Pack-a-Punch works
In MW3 Zombies, you'll be navigating the exhilarating Urzikstan map, specially designed for this mode within the Warzone universe. To locate the crucial Pack-a-Punch machine, keep an eye out for the designated icons displayed on your map. These indicators will always be found within each of the three distinct threat levels scattered throughout the map.
Pack-a-Punch costs:
The Pack-a-Punch machine, a classic feature, allows you to enhance your weapon by three levels. In MW3 Zombies, the upgrading system still offers three levels of improvement. However, you can only upgrade your weapons once in each zone. This means that the low-threat zone is only suitable for the initial weapon upgrade. To reach the second upgrade, you will need to venture into the next level of peril. Finally, to obtain the third and final upgrade, you will have to battle your way through the high-threat zone. As for the cost, the first tier upgrade can be acquired for 5,000 points.
10,000 points for the second tier
15,000 points for the third tier
Pack-a-Punched guns don't save
While most items obtained during matches can be saved for later use, it is important to note that weapon upgrades cannot be preserved. Any upgrades made to weapons through Pack-a-Punch and the rarity levels will be lost when you exfil.
Keep in mind that Pack-a-Punching can be quite costly, so it is advisable to upgrade your weapons only when you have sufficient time to utilize them effectively. Avoid saving upgrades until the end of the match, as the weapons will revert back to their base level blueprints in subsequent games.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled to see the return of the Pack-a-Punch machine in Call of Duty: MW3 Zombies. The Pack-a-Punch machine has always been a fan-favorite feature in Zombies, and I am excited to see how it has been revamped in MW3. I appreciate that the Pack-a-Punch machine is still located in each of the three distinct threat levels scattered throughout the map, as this makes it easy to find and use. I also like that the cost of upgrading weapons has been increased, as this makes it more challenging and rewarding to upgrade weapons.
Overall, I think that the Pack-a-Punch machine is a great addition to MW3 Zombies and I am excited to see how it will be used by players to create powerful and unique weapons.
