Unlocking Haze Gate: Find Gemstones in Lord of the Rings: Gollum

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum revolves around the story of Gollum and his alter ego, Smeagol, as they strive to escape the clutches of Mordor and regain possession of the One Ring. However, Gollum's attempt to flee Mordor is short-lived as he is captured yet again, this time by a group of Elves.
Despite being treated with more dignity by the Elves than by Sauron's minions, Gollum is determined to escape once again. In the final chapter of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, he makes another attempt to flee, but first, he must solve the puzzle of the Haze Gate in the Aqueduct Ruins of Mirkwood.
Upon arriving at the Haze Gate in the Aqueduct Ruins, Gollum is once again captured by Sauron's forces, who are also determined to leave the Elves' domain. Gollum, however, is undeterred and proposes a plan to open the Haze Gate with the help of Mell, allowing them to return to Mordor.

Players will need to rely on the blind Elf, Mell, to communicate telepathically with Gollum. Mell instructs Gollum to find water, which can be located by turning right and using the two protruding rocks on the wall to reach the vines overhead. Climbing up the vines on the right will lead to a small walkway where the water source can be found.
Interacting with the water will allow players to change the symbol on the Haze Gate. Mell explains that the correct pattern involves a deer, so players must adjust both sides of the gate until the outline of a deer is formed.
To proceed through the Haze Gate, Gollum must gather two gemstones. The first gemstone can be found on the ground next to Mell. As for the second gemstone, Gollum needs to throw a rock at the bird's nest located on the left side of the gate. In case players run out of rocks, they can easily find more near the water.
If players are unable to locate the nest, they can activate Gollum Sense to pinpoint the exact location of the second gemstone. Once the rock hits the nest, the bird will fly away, dropping the gemstone on the ground.

Climbing down to the ground, Gollum can pick up the two gemstones situated in front of the door. He can then interact with the candle positioned to the right and put it out. After completing these tasks, he needs to climb the Haze Gate and insert the gemstones into the appropriate slots.

On the left side of the gate, the deer's ear can be illuminated by placing a gemstone in the rightmost slot. On the right side, the deer's antler can be completed by inserting the second gemstone into the available slot on the right. Once both gemstones are correctly placed, the Haze Gate will open, allowing Gollum and Mell to escape.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is currently available on multiple platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch release is expected later this year.
