Unlock the Ultimate Power: Unleashing the Full Potential of Trait Points in Remnant 2

Unleash your true potential in Remnant 2 with the Max Trait Point Cap Discover the boundless power that Traits hold for aspiring adventurers, despite their diminished strength from the previous game Get ready to level up and conquer!

Leveling up and acquiring weapons, armor, and accessories are essential for boosting a player's power in Remnant 2. These upgrades have a direct impact on the damage output, making them the most noticeable and significant improvements. However, it is worth noting that there are additional avenues to increase strength.

In Remnant 2, the traits system has undergone some changes compared to the first game. Unlike before, there are no individual trait cards that directly enhance damage output. Instead, the focus of traits in this game is primarily on enhancing defense and overall quality of life. Despite this shift, Gunfire Games has implemented a limit on the number of trait points players can obtain per character, emphasizing the importance of every investment made. Now, the burning question remains: what is the maximum cap?

In the launch version of Remnant 2, the maximum number of Trait Points has been set at 60. After reaching this limit, players will no longer receive any additional Trait Points from defeating bosses or collecting Tomes of Knowledge. However, it is possible that this may change in future game updates.

In terms of individual Traits, players can allocate a maximum of 10 points per card. This means that a character can have up to six Traits fully upgraded at a time. One important exception to this rule is Archetype Traits, which are always active and gain points as the player's main and secondary Archetypes level up. These Archetype Traits do not contribute to the overall Trait Point limit.

Once a player reaches the maximum level for an Archetype Trait, they can access it even if they choose to change their Archetype. For instance, the Longshot Trait is typically exclusive to the Hunter Archetype. However, once players reach Level 10 with the Hunter, they can allocate Trait Points to Longshot even while using a different Archetype.

Players may observe that some of their Traits have golden blips instead of the usual blue. This indicates that the points allocated to those Traits are free and do not count towards the maximum limit. In the aforementioned example, if players switch out of the Hunter Archetype, all points invested in Longshot will be removed, effectively deactivating the Trait until players utilize their spare points to allocate them back.

Trait Point investment can be reset by purchasing an Orb of Renewal from Wallace at Ward 13.

Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
