With a variety of worlds to explore and a new array of dangerous creatures to conquer, players have numerous options to truly personalize their gaming experience, particularly with the different Archetypes offered in the game.

Although players have four Archetype options when starting the game, more can be discovered throughout the story. The Gunslinger Archetype, a popular favorite, can be obtained by pre-ordering Remnant 2. However, even those who did not pre-order the game will have the opportunity to unlock the Gunslinger Archetype. Here's how it's done.

The Gunslinger Archetype

The Gunslinger is the ultimate choice for avid players seeking a gameplay experience infused with relentless firepower. This remarkable Archetype excels in unleashing devastating amounts of damage, coupled with unparalleled expertise in weapon handling. With ammunition being a scarce commodity in the world of Remnant 2, players will undoubtedly reap the rewards of the Gunslinger's remarkable ability to conserve their limited bullet supply.

How to Unlock the Gunslinger

The Loaded perk, part of the Gunslinger's Prime abilities, exerts a significant impact by instantly reloading both of the player's weapons and activating infinite ammunition for a limited duration. This ability proves invaluable during boss battles, where reloading consumes precious time and leaves players vulnerable. Accompanied by additional perks that enhance total ammunition capacity, firing rate, and reloading speed, the Gunslinger archetype stands out as one of the most proficient options for effectively dealing with hordes of enemies.

To unlock the Gunslinger, a certain level of patience and the knowledge of the right person to approach are essential. The key to accessing this specific Archetype lies in Mudtooth, an NPC who can be found in Ward 13. Mudtooth can usually be spotted snoozing at a table, accompanied by his friend Reggie. As an energetic elderly gentleman, Mudtooth thoroughly enjoys sharing tales, and this is the crucial detail to uncovering the secrets of the Gunslinger.

To play as the Gunslinger, players must listen to Mudtooth's tales until he runs out of stories. While it may be a bit tedious, Mudtooth will not tell all of his stories at once. Typically, after completing the first two worlds, players can expect Mudtooth to be more willing to share his remaining stories.

As a reward, players will receive valuable items such as the Gunslinger's Ring and Gunslinger's Charm. They will also receive the Worn Cylinder, a battered barrel revolver. This item is crucial for unlocking the Gunslinger by visiting Wallace, who can be found upstairs in Ward 13, where players originally chose their Archetype after completing the tutorial.

Materials Required for the Gunslinger Archetype

Players can now purchase the Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2 using the Worn Cylinder. However, Wallace will not craft it with just a simple revolver barrel; additional materials are required.

To unlock this, players must sacrifice 1 Worn Cylinder, 10 Lumenite Crystals, and 1,000 Scrap. Scrap is the main currency in the game and is commonly found, while Lumenite Crystals are more challenging to obtain. These crystals are usually dropped by elite enemies encountered during the player's journey.
