The MP60-R SMG is the first non-starter weapon available for players in Remnant 2. It can be found in a secret location near the start of the game and can be obtained immediately after completing the tutorial.
In Remnant 2, acquiring the SMG is simplified and less complex. However, discovering this weapon by chance is highly unlikely for players who do not explore extensively or lack curiosity about the items they come across.
How to Get The SMG in Remnant 2
In the second game, the SMG can be found in Ward 13, hidden inside the abandoned cargo ship near the harbor. However, players cannot access it easily as it is secured behind a locked door.
To unlock this door, players must obtain the Cargo Control Key, which is kept inside a chest in Ford's office. However, the chest itself is also locked with a numerical code. The default code is 0415, but it is important to note that in Remnant 2, the code may vary for each player. To find the code, players should open the Inventory screen and examine the flashlight given by Ford during the expedition into the inner ward. The code will be engraved on the bottom of the flashlight.

Is The SMG Any Good?
The SMG, similar to the first Remnant, has a rapid rate of fire but sacrifices damage per shot and has a limited range. It performs well in close quarters combat, but its reload time hinders its effectiveness against large crowds. However, players can comfortably use this weapon throughout their initial campaign, as long as they consistently upgrade it.
To unleash the full potential of the SMG, players should utilize weapon mods such as Hot Shot or Acid Shot. The high fire rate of the SMG allows for quick infliction of status effects, and mods like Hot Shot conveniently reload the magazine. This makes the SMG particularly effective against armored enemies, as elemental damage bypasses armor's damage reduction.
