Unlock the Secret Hidden Achievement in Genshin Impact: Locate Kabayama's Lanterns and Discover the Surprising Benefits!

The achievements in Genshin Impact can vary in difficulty, ranging from straightforward tasks to more complex ones. One example of a challenging achievement is the "What Difference Does This Make?" achievement in Enkanomiya. To earn this achievement, players must locate a hidden NPC by sitting on a specific rock in a secluded area of the map. The NPC will then provide instructions to sit on more rocks scattered throughout Enkanomiya.

Luckily, once the player discovers the location, this achievement should be relatively simple to complete. Additionally, the reward for this achievement, a valuable chest, should not be underestimated.

Where To Find Kabayama

To undertake the journey towards earning this achievement and the valuable chest it bestows, players must first locate the ghost NPC known as Kabayama. To find Kabayama, start by making your way to the center of Enkanomiya, specifically to Dainishi Mikoshi. The most convenient starting point is the easternmost teleport of Dainishi Mikoshi, situated to the east of the Bathysmal Vishap Herd boss encounter.

From this teleport location, a dirt pathway will be visible to the right of the player. Follow this path until reaching a fork. At this point, choose the left turn on the pathway and proceed into the open panel on the wall ahead.

Inside, the player will find a large rock sitting underneath a lantern. Sitting on it will spawn Kabayama to give players instructions on what to do next.

The Serpent's Heart Lantern

After conversing with Kabayama, it is time for the players to embark on the actual quest for the three lanterns. These lanterns are located on the rocks beneath each designated stop. The sequence in which the lanterns are found is inconsequential, allowing players to search for them in any order they find logical.

To start, head to The Serpent's Heart, the island that lies just south of Dainishi Mikoshi. Use the middle teleport location in The Serpent's Heart. Once you arrive, you'll see a lantern situated on a cliff right in front of you. Climb up the cliff and take a seat on the rock below the lantern to continue the conversation.

Evernight Temple Lantern

The player's next destination in search of Kabayama's lanterns is the Evernight Temple, located on the island directly east of Dainishi Mikoshi. To reach the temple, teleport to the midpoint of the island's northern side, just below the green grassy area marked on the map. From here, head southeast, passing by the statue of a robed figure, until an arched tree with a lantern comes into view in the distance. The player's objective, a rock occupied by a pyro abyss mage, is situated directly beneath this tree. Once again, the player should sit on the rock and continue the dialogue.

The Narrows Lantern

Head to The Narrows, the island just north of Dainishi Mikoshi, to find the ultimate combination of rock and lantern. Upon arriving on the island, teleport to the northeast teleport spot, located to the left of the grassy area. Similar to the initial lantern, players can easily spot this one from the teleportation point. It is attached to a broken archway directly behind them. This marks the final lantern and rock that needs to be located. Now, take a seat on the rock and advance the dialogue for one last time.

Claiming Kabayama's Precious Chest

After successfully finding all of Kabayama's lanterns in Enkanomiya, the next step is to return to Kabayama himself. He can be found in the same location where the player last interacted with him, which is on the middle island, Dainishi Mikoshi. Once the player talks to Kabayama, they will receive a valuable chest as a reward and unlock the "What Difference Does This Make?" achievement.
