A new character is set to join Genshin Impact in the coming months, according to a recent leak. The game's developer, HoYoverse, has been steadily adding to the playable roster since the introduction of the Sumeru region. In the most recent update, version 3.6, two new characters were added, Baizhu and Kaveh, both of whom are Dendro element users. The ongoing update, version 3.7, has introduced a new Dendro character named Kirara, who wields a sword and is part of the four-star lineup in the current banner cycle. Players have a limited time to acquire Kirara or any of the other featured characters before the banner expires around June 13.
According to a recent Genshin Impact leak, a new mummy character is set to make an appearance in the game in the coming months. While details about the character are scarce, it is expected that she will be introduced in a future update, but not in version 3.8. Fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the upcoming Fontaine region, which is set to bring a host of new characters and is rumored to feature three new characters in the first update, including a limited five-star character named Lyney, a Pyro bow user with impressive main DPS capabilities.
Joining him is his sister Lynette, who is rumored to have a lower four-star rarity and will wield the Anemo element. However, they are not the only speculated characters, as leaks have also revealed a new five-star rarity character named Wriothesley.
One of the most highly anticipated characters in Fontaine is the Hydro Archon, who serves as the nation's primary protector. While currently referred to as Focalors, credible sources have hinted that the new Archon is actually named Furina. Based on previous Archon releases by HoYoverse, players can expect this character to debut in updates 4.1 or 4.2.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
