Unlock Jochisiu Shrine: Master TotK's Keys Born of Water Quest

A majority of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be easily found by exploring the world of Hyrule. However, some Shrines are hidden and require the completion of a side quest before appearing. These quests are known as Shrine Quests, and one of them is located in West Necluda named "Keys Born of Water." To reveal the hidden Jochisiu Shrine, TotK players must complete this quest from a Steward Construct.

To discover the Steward Construct responsible for initiating Link's Shrine Quest in TotK, players must venture to the southern region of Hyrule. The quest's location is situated southeast of Hyrule Field and just a short distance northeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower (for a complete guide on repairing the Popla Foothills tower, click this link). The side quest can be found at coordinates 0954, -1874, 0011 and is visible on the map below.

TotK: Keys Born of Water Shrine Quest Walkthrough

To uncover the hidden shrine, players must speak to the Construct located beneath the stone slab structure. The Construct will instruct players to bring keys born of water to the three altars nearby. Once the keys have been placed, the hidden shrine will reveal itself. Some players may find the NPC's clues a bit unclear, but the solution to the puzzle is actually quite simple.

After obtaining the Flame Emitter in the room where the Construct is located, the first step for players is to ignite the pile of wood with the fire. This can be done by attaching the emitter to a shield or simply picking it up and using it to start the fire. Once the fire is burning brightly, players should retrieve the Frost Emitter (which we have conveniently fused to one of our weaker shields).

Next, players should head to the nearest body of water and stand on the shore. Using the Frost Emitter, they should freeze the water until a square piece of ice is formed.

Ensure that the piece of ice you select is of a square shape, not a rectangle. Otherwise, it won't fit the requirements of the quest. Utilize Link's Ultrahand ability to pick up the ice and take it back to the NPC. There are three diamond-shaped recesses located on the altars beside the Construct, and players must bring back three pieces of ice to place them in the holes. However, the other two recesses are smaller, so players must hold the ice over the flame to melt it slightly until it's an ideal size for placement.

Upon successfully fitting all three pieces into their corresponding holes, players will have completed the quest and the Jochisiu Shrine will appear atop the structure. Fortunately, there are no further puzzles or challenges to overcome within the shrine.

Players can easily obtain another Light of Blessing by walking into the designated area. Additionally, a chest can be found inside that holds a Big Battery capable of powering up Tears of the Kingdom's Zonai Devices. This exciting adventure is exclusively available for the Nintendo Switch.
