In Cyberpunk 2077, there have been significant changes to the game since its initial release. However, there are still numerous issues that need to be addressed. Despite this, players can still enjoy the extensive exploration and discoveries in Night City. As players navigate this dystopian metropolis, it becomes essential for V to have reliable transportation. Among the various choices available, one particularly sentimental and visually unique option is Jackie's motorcycle.
Updated July 3rd, 2023 by Jacob Buchalter: As Cyberpunk 2077's highly anticipated DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, approaches its release in September of this year, players have been diving back into the game. Whether resurrecting their old save files, starting fresh journeys, or simply exploring the numerous updates made since its initial launch, there is a palpable excitement in the air. Despite the game's rocky debut and subsequent challenges, the development team's unwavering commitment to enhancing the gaming experience has been commendable. With Cyberpunk 2077 undergoing significant transformations and even more on the horizon, one may wonder: does obtaining Jackie's Motorcycle hold a new allure?
Getting Jackie's ARCH Known As The Arch Nazare
There are two available paths to acquire this motorcycle, both hinging on V's decision regarding the final resting place of Jackie's remains following the tumultuous Heist at Konpeki Plaza. Admittedly, most players are grappling with the loss of their comrade and are not actively prioritizing maximizing rewards by exploiting his body, but it is still prudent to consider these two alternatives.
Option 1: Send Jackie Home
As a result, once Jackie's body is either sent home to his family or left in the Delamain Cab for V after the Heist, players will soon receive a message from Mama Welles, also known as Guadalupe Alejandra Welles. It becomes evident that Mama Welles is Jackie's mother, and her message prompts V to contact her. After making the call, Mama Welles informs the player that she will be hosting an ofrenda, a memorial event, for Jackie. The player is invited to attend the ofrenda by visiting El Coyote Cojo, the family's bar. This marks the beginning of the Side Mission called 'Heroes', where Jackie's Bike serves as the reward.
Upon reaching the bar and engaging in a conversation with Mama Welles, she will hand V the key to Jackie's garage, which is located just outside El Coyote Cojo. Outside the garage, players will come across Jackie's girlfriend, Misty, who they may recognize as the owner of Misty's Esoterica, where Viktor's Ripperdoc Clinic resides in the basement. V will then have a heartfelt conversation with Misty, Jackie's girlfriend, and embark on a search for an offering to later present at Jackie's ofrenda.
After the ceremony, if V returns to Mama Welles bar and the ofrenda table at least a day later, they will be able to obtain V's dual pistols, known as the La Chingona Dorada, from the ofrenda. These pistols are variations of the Tsunami Nue pistol and, despite appearing as two separate weapons, V can only use one at a time. However, they hold significant value as iconic weapons and are highly recommended for use.
Prior to proceeding, V can decide whether or not to persuade Misty to accompany them in searching the garage for an offering. Exploring Jackie's possessions reveals touching moments that provide insight into his character. Eventually, players will need to make a decision regarding which item to choose. Rest assured, this choice will not impact V's ability to acquire Jackie's Bike. Prior to leaving, V has the option of convincing Misty to join them at the ofrenda, as well as standing up for her against Mama Welles after speaking (or not) during the ceremony.
Option 2: Send Jackie To Viktor
After completing the task, have another discussion with Mama Welles. In the course of the conversation, she will generously present V with the keys to Jackie's motorcycle. Accepting the keys will grant the players access to the motorcycle throughout the entire game.
In contrast, should V choose to send Jackie's body to Viktor Vektor, the outcome remains the same: Mama Welles messages V, time elapses, and V acquires the ARCH. However, the sentimental aspects are absent. There is no ofrenda, no shared reminiscence with Misty about Jackie and his passions, and no ceremonial tribute in his honor. Instead, players receive a text from Mama Welles stating that she discovered something of Jackie's that he would wish them to possess, followed by the bike appearing outside the apartment complex. Nonetheless, if they subsequently visit Viktor's Clinic and inquire about Jackie's body, the truth is revealed. Apparently, Arasaka trailed the cab, apprehended Viktor, and seized Jackie's body to "interrogate the deceased." It becomes evident that a cyberpunk realm encompasses more than just captivating cyborgs and luminous cityscapes.
Then, long after, in the setup for the final mission of the story, players have the option to seek Hanako's assistance. If they choose to do so, they will be granted the opportunity to converse with 'Jackie,' whose consciousness was preserved in the Mikoshi after Arasaka disposed of his body. This exchange holds a similar level of depth as the ofrenda, but with a more cyberpunk edge, evoking a sense of nihilism. The Jackie present in the Net clarifies within a few lines that he is not the true Jackie, but rather a replication of his final memories and some residual fragments. It is a harsh and melancholic encounter, but such is the nature of Night City.
How To Get Jackie's 'Tuned' ARCH Motorcycle
There is actually a way to acquire a customized variation of this motorcycle, but it entails fulfilling specific criteria. Initially, players must have chosen the 'Nomad' lifepath for their character. Then, while engaging in the mission 'The Pickup' where V rendezvouses with Jackie outside the All Food Plant on his Arch, a dialogue option aimed specifically at Nomads should emerge during their conversation. Opt for this choice, and subsequently, another dialogue option necessitating a minimum of 6 points in Technical Ability will surface, proposing that Jackie should make certain modifications to his bike.
Selecting both of these dialogue choices will result in Jackie's bike having four tailpipes instead of two the next time it is seen, regardless of the player's decision regarding his body. However, this is currently the only distinction between the two variations of the bike, as all other stats remain identical to the default version.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
