The suits featured in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 cannot be obtained by playing the game, according to Insomniac Games. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a highly anticipated game set to release in the latter half of 2023, offers various editions for fans to choose from.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 includes a total of 10 unique suits, with five for both Peter and Miles. Some of the suits included are the Aurantia Suit, Tactical Suit, Red Spectre Suit, Agimat Suit, and more. Along with the suits, gamers who purchase this edition will also receive additional photo mode items and two skill points. Insomniac Games has clarified that these 10 suits will only be available in the Digital Deluxe Edition and cannot be unlocked through normal gameplay progression.
Insomniac Games has addressed fan inquiries regarding the suits available in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The development team has confirmed that these cosmetic items are exclusive to this particular version of the game. It is worth noting that the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is priced at $79.99, which is $10 more than the standard edition. Therefore, fans who wish to enjoy playing with these suits will need to purchase the pricier edition upon its release or consider upgrading to the deluxe version at a later time.
In addition to the Digital Deluxe Edition, fans who opt for the Collector's Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will also gain access to these suits. This edition includes all the content offered in the Digital Deluxe Edition, along with a Steelbook case and a remarkable 19-inch statue showcasing Miles and Peter in an intense battle against Venom. It is important to note that the Collector's Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 does not include a physical copy of the game; instead, Sony has chosen to provide a digital version.
In order to use the suits in-game, players would have to earn tokens through completing side activities, in a similar fashion to the previous game. This process of unlocking suits was relatively straightforward in Marvel's Spider-Man, and it is likely that Insomniac Games will carry over this feature in the sequel.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20 on PS5.
