Even with a soft reboot and a live-action TV series in 2022, the beloved cartoon remains absent from the original game. As the release of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 approaches, there is little hope for a last-minute reveal of The Fairly OddParents characters. Previous leaks and missed opportunities for DLC inclusion suggest that the developer may have forgotten or dismissed the classic series. Fans can only hold onto hope that Ludosity will eventually remember the creative potential and nostalgia that The Fairly OddParents bring to the table.

The Fairly OddParents' Snub Has Gone Too Far

The original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl included a diverse range of characters from various Nickelodeon shows, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both Avatar series, and The Ren & Stimpy Show. However, The Fairly OddParents, despite being a highly popular series with multiple revivals, was not included. This is particularly noteworthy considering that its creator, Butch Hartman, is associated with other shows included in the roster, such as Danny Phantom.

In the sequel, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, similar patterns seem to emerge. For instance, SpongeBob SquarePants returns as a playable character, along with other characters from the same series like Plankton and Squidward. This mirrors the previous game's inclusion of two out of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as April and Shredder. Additionally, the game includes shows that predate The Fairly OddParents and had shorter runs, such as The Angry Beavers.

Ignoring all the reasons why The Fairly OddParents deserve a spot in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2's lineup, such as its long-standing history and nostalgic popularity, the series offers a wide range of captivating characters for Ludosity to select. Although there may be some hesitation to include Timmy Turner, Cosmo, and Wanda, as they ideally should appear together, The Fairly OddParents offers other recognizable characters that could take their place. Similar to how Jimmy Neutron had representation from Himmy's dad before the main character was added, The Fairly OddParents could introduce Crimson Chin, Mr. Crocker, and Vicky.

As of now, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 confirms twenty-five playable characters, the same number as its predecessor with three additional DLC fighters. It's possible that potential playable characters from The Fairly OddParents are being saved for future DLC, which would undoubtedly reignite fan interest after the game's launch. However, this is mere speculation and still leaves players with the impression that Ludosity has once again neglected The Fairly OddParents without any justification. While fans have theorized that potential rights issues may be hindering the series' inclusion, it remains disappointing regardless.
