How To Unlock Sellia Town's Barriers

Thankfully, unlocking the barriers in Sellia Town is a relatively straightforward task, although it does require some platforming skills. To overcome this challenge, players must locate and ascend three distinct "towers" scattered throughout the town. These towers house unlit braziers at their summits, and illuminating all three will effectively dismantle all barriers in Sellia Town. While the climb itself is not overly challenging, players must remain cautious of their surroundings and carefully navigate across the rooftops. It is crucial to be mindful of the perilous consequences of falling from these heights, as the menacing apparitions that haunt the town possess the ability to swiftly annihilate lower-level players.

To start, head towards the main gate barrier located next to the tree that bears the Golden Seed. This balcony provides a perfect vantage point for players to observe the surrounding "towers" and devise a strategy to reach them. Since all of the towers require players to navigate rooftops and tree roots, it is advisable to return to this area and start over if they happen to fall. The first barrier is the easiest to access from the starting point, but it presents the most challenging jump, where players must maneuver up a twisted tree root. Making the jump from the root to the tower on foot is quite difficult, therefore it is recommended that players utilize Torrent to leap up there. One effective strategy is to traverse onto the branch by foot and then summon Torrent right before attempting the jump, as using Torrent to leap onto the tree branch can be a bit unreliable.

After successfully lighting the first brazier, players will notice a significant barrier in the distance (located behind the tower) dissipate. Once this barrier is removed, players can decide whether to engage in a battle against the boss or not.

Snagging The Hidden Items In Sellia Town

To access the second and third braziers, players need to leap off the left-side balcony in the starting zone and traverse the rooftops until they reach the base of the initial tower. Although this path is relatively straightforward, caution should be exercised while navigating the rooftops, as a misjudged jump could result in a fall to the street below. Once at the ground level, players can ascend the ladder to ignite the second brazier and then shift their focus to the third. Spotting the third location from the tower of the second brazier is a breeze, and once again, players can leap across the rooftops to reach the third and final tower. Upon lighting the third brazier, all the barriers in Sellia Town will vanish, granting players the freedom to explore at their leisure and collect any remaining items.

Once the barriers have been dismantled, players have the freedom to explore the formerly inaccessible sections and discover chests containing valuable items.
