Diablo 4 has revitalized the passion of Diablo 2 fans who felt let down by the path Blizzard took with Diablo 3. Item affixes have undergone significant changes in the Diablo series, particularly between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. In Diablo 2, items could potentially possess affixes that increased the level of skills for each class. However, this feature was removed in Diablo 3, in favor of incorporating affixes that primarily influenced specific statistics or damage types. In Diablo 4, the inclusion of affixes once again enhances the possibilities for customizing builds, as items can now provide skill rank boosts.
