Fans are rejoicing as the highly anticipated Gen V Episode 6 features a special appearance by one of The Boys' beloved characters. This spinoff, set at Godolkin University, Vought's prestigious educational establishment and the alma mater of A-Train, The Deep, and Queen Maeve, has successfully captured the essence of Prime Video's phenomenal series.
Up until now, there have been graphic scenes involving explosive penises, intense break-ins, and a massacre involving muppets. And that's just the beginning of the violent content. In addition to these outrageous moments, a captivating mystery is unraveling following the demise of a highly regarded individual known as Golden Boy.
Although Gen V can be appreciated as a standalone work, fans were thrilled to discover that a superhero character from The Boys would be featured in Episode 6. And now, that moment has finally arrived. Please be aware that spoilers will be mentioned from this point forward.
Fans celebrate “wild” cameo in Gen V Episode 6
In Gen V Episode 6, none other than Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, makes an appearance, with fans praising his “wild” return.
The show had hinted at the cameo in advance, but fans were uncertain about how it would be incorporated into the storyline since the character had been put back into cryogenic sleep in the Season 3 finale of The Boys.
However, in Gen V, Ackles' character is not the usual Soldier Boy, but rather an imaginary friend to Cate. Marie and the others are transported into Cate's mind, where they witness the tragic memory of the moment her powers manifested, resulting in her brother's disappearance.
Soldier Boy, Cate's childhood imaginary friend and boyfriend, joins them on the sidelines and reveals, "I taught her self-pleasure." He proceeds to provide explicit details and warns that they must escape Cate's mind to avoid certain death. However, before he can reveal the necessary steps, Soldier Boy abruptly explodes, leaving them in a difficult situation.
A fan expressing their admiration, tweeted on X/Twitter: "Jensen certainly has a knack for delivering those lines! Appreciate the laughter it brought." Adding to the conversation, another person tweeted: "The appearance of Soldier Boy was absolutely mind-blowing."
One person commented: "I absolutely adored every single word. @JensenAckles truly shines as #SoldierBoy. @PrimeVideo should definitely consider giving him his own Soldier Boy series."
And of course, there were numerous humorous remarks about the scene where he mentioned Cate's interest in a "Soldier Boy pillow." One viewer jokingly said: "After watching that episode, I'm pretty sure every woman now secretly desires a Soldier Boy pillow."
“Where can I get a Soldier Boy pillow? I want one,” said another.
