Remarkably, Cid foresaw the creation of the Enterprise and procured a crucial component to hasten its completion. With the part successfully installed and the ship ready for action, Clive and his allies embark on a mission to track down the Einherjar and liberate Jill from the clutches of Barnabas.

Proceed with caution while reading this walkthrough as it contains spoilers. The next main scenario quest, "Through the Malestrom," allows players to confront Odin's Dominant. This quest is relatively short and has been combined with the walkthrough for the subsequent main scenario quest, "Across the Narrow." Here is what Final Fantasy 16 players can anticipate as they embark on this next series of main scenario quests.

Search for Jill

After a series of cutscenes, players will be greeted with a less than friendly reception by the crew of the Einherjar. Upon defeating the enemies guarding the deck, search for a door with bars and unlock it. Collect the Potion on the left and proceed up the stairs. Another group of enemies will ambush after a short cinematic. Eliminate them all and approach the gate located at the rear of the ship. Open it and descend the stairs.

Inside the ship, locate a door that can be accessed. Defeat the two enemies attempting to repair the ship and continue through the door on the opposite side of the room. This will trigger another cinematic. Once the cinematic concludes, a boss battle will commence.

How to Beat Barnabas

At long last, players of Final Fantasy 16 will finally confront the formidable adversary, Barnabas. This cunning foe possesses the ability to teleport swiftly and employs a wide range of melee attacks. Skillfully evade these assaults, waiting for the opportune moment to strike back. Beware, for when Barnabas reaches 70% of its health, it will unleash the devastating Lord's Measure, conjuring a cross-shaped assault at the heart of the battleground. Evade the lethal beams emanating from the center, ensuring survival and ultimate victory.

As Barnabas's health approaches 60%, he will unleash a formidable attack that can potentially be interrupted by depleting his purple bar. Unfortunately, Barnabas will continue to launch regular attacks while simultaneously preparing for this special move. Regrettably, it is virtually impossible to deplete the purple bar within the given timeframe. Consequently, Barnabas initiates the attack, triggering a captivating cutscene which concludes the battle. Following a sequence of additional cutscenes, the ongoing main scenario quest draws to a close.

Go to the Infirmary

When players start playing "Across the Narrow," they will be directed to the infirmary to meet Joshua. However, there are also several new side quests available that players might want to complete. Two of these quests are "Blacksmith's Blues IV" and "Even Weirder Science." By completing these side quests, players will be rewarded with Ragnarok and an increased capacity for carrying consumables. Moreover, by completing "Blacksmith's Blues IV," players will also receive the recipe to craft the most powerful weapon in the game, excluding the New Game+ mode, called Gotterdammerung.

To advance the story, proceed to the infirmary where a series of cutscenes will be triggered. After their conclusion, engage in conversation with Vivian. Then, make your way to the Shelves and speak with Joshua. Lastly, head over to the ale hall to initiate another cutscene. Locate Otto and converse with him once the cutscene concludes. This will unlock access to the world map, allowing players to journey to the Shadow Coast and commence the next main scenario quest.
