Unleash Your Desktop's Aesthetic: Hide Windows 11 Taskbar Time & Date

The display of date and time on the Windows taskbar has been a standard feature for several years. However, it was relatively easy to remove it in the previous versions of Windows. With the latest Windows 11 update, Microsoft has introduced a new feature that allows users to hide the date and time display on the taskbar.

As of the latest Windows 11 Insider preview, build 23440, users can now remove the date and time from the taskbar. This leaves a clear view of your system tray and notification tray, providing more space for your current tasks. To remove the clock, simply right-click on it and select “Adjust date and time.” From there, tweak the appropriate setting and the clock will disappear.

However, this setting is only available for Insiders at the moment. Those on the regular release scheme will have to wait a few months to access it. It's important to note that we don't recommend switching to the Insider branch just for this feature. Bugs can and probably will arise, which could disrupt your daily workflow.

The taskbar has been upgraded with a useful feature that allows you to diagnose your Internet connection. By simply right-clicking on the network icon and selecting “Diagnose network problems,” your operating system will scan for potential issues that may be affecting your connection. Whether it be a problem on your end or with your ISP, this tool will help pinpoint the cause of any connectivity issues. If you’re an Insider, be sure to take advantage of this convenient update.
