Unleash the Untold Power: Mastering the Soulfire Psyker Build in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Unleash the power of Soulfire and dominate Tertium with this ultimate Darktide Psyker build Harness the might of the Soulblaze Skill Tree to annihilate your enemies and emerge victorious

Patch 13 for Darktide has completely transformed the class system, offering enhanced skill trees for each of the four playable character types. This update allows for greater customization of builds, providing players with more options to tailor their playstyles.

With the introduction of this patch, Psykers can now specialize in DPS, crowd control, or defensive roles. The Soulblaze setup, a popular choice for clearing large hordes, has been significantly strengthened in the new skill tree. Creating and utilizing this build in Darktide is now simpler and more effective.

The objective of this build is to consistently apply the Soulblaze damage-over-time effect to enemies using skills and the Purgatus Force Staff. This will allow for the rapid accumulation of Warp Charges, which decrease the cooldown of the chosen active skill while increasing the base damage of all attacks. While Psykers excel in various areas, this particular build is designed to effectively handle large groups of enemies and special foes.

With a maximum of 30 skill points available, players should prioritize investing in abilities that enhance Warp damage, Critical Hit Chance, and Quell-related buffs. Although there is room for customization in terms of skill point allocation, the following streamlined setup emphasizes crowd control and damage output:

This build offers a harmonious blend of crowd control (CC) and damage per second (DPS). By equipping a Purgatus Force Staff, players no longer have to solely rely on their abilities to accumulate Warp Charges. Additionally, considering that Warp Charges now reduce the cooldowns of abilities, Venting Shriek should be accessible every 20 seconds, provided that players are able to maximize their Warp Charges before initially utilizing it.

To compensate for the limited range of the Purgatus Staff, Brain Rupture comes in handy. With Venting Shriek being available frequently, players can activate Kinetic Resonance regularly. This feature becomes extremely valuable when dealing with swarms of Elite and Special units. It is worth noting that Venting Shriek will be ready for use again before the duration of Kinetic Resonance expires, particularly in intense Shock Troop Gauntlet missions.

Players have the freedom to select their desired melee weapons, with options including the Dueling Swords, Deimos Force Sword, Catachan Combat Blade, or any axes and swords with Strikedown or Assassin movesets, which are more suitable for single-target attacks.

When facing hordes of enemies, it is recommended to utilize the Purgatus Staff. If there is an excessive number of Elites or Specialists, players should employ the Brain Rupture ability. By accumulating six Warp Charges and eliminating three or four Elite/Special enemies, players will be able to completely reset the cooldown of Venting Shriek.

Darktide is available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
