In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players have the opportunity to invite Moana to live in their village. As part of the game's introductory quests, players are guided to the majestic Dream Castle that overlooks the valley. Inside the castle, there are several locked doors, each leading to a magical realm inspired by a classic Disney universe.
Initially, players have access to three realms: Moana's realm, WALL-E's realm, and Ratatouille's realm. The first realm can be unlocked without cost, but opening subsequent realms will require 3,000 Dreamlight. To unlock Moana's realm and have her join their village, players must complete her quests in her realm according to the following instructions.

Upon entering the enchanting Moana realm, players will be warmly greeted by the courageous Moana herself. Moana is on a voyage across the vast waters, searching for the perfect fishing spot for her village. However, her boat has unfortunately become stranded on the shore, leaving her in need of assistance. In her first quest, "After the Storm," Moana humbly requests the player's aid in repairing her damaged canoe.
To accomplish this task, players will require 8 pieces of Wood and 3 units of Silk. The Wood can be found scattered on the serene island, artfully blending with the breathtaking natural surroundings. For the Silk, a more intricate process awaits. Players should remain vigilant and keep an eye out for glistening spots on the island's terrain. These shimmering spots hold hidden Silk beneath the surface, waiting to be unearthed. With the trusty Royal Shovel in hand, players can dig at these specific locations to obtain the precious Silk.
Upon gathering the 8 Wood pieces and 3 Silk balls, players will be required to return to Moana. However, before embarking on her subsequent quest, "How Far You'll Go," there is a prerequisite quest called "The Great Maui." In this quest, players are introduced to Maui, the demigod who resides in the realm. Maui enhances the player's Royal Pickaxe, enabling them to assist Moana in extricating her canoe from its stagnant position. Once this brief quest is completed, Moana's second and final realm quest will be unlocked.

Once "The Great Maui" is completed and Moana's canoe has been repaired, the subsequent quest, titled "How Far You'll Go," becomes accessible. Moana presents the player with a Strange Map Memory, which, once utilized, unlocks a visual memory exhibiting a map. Moana acknowledges that her explorations have been impeded by an enigmatic mist and assigns the player the task of finding a way through it. This will enable her to reach the areas she believes are abundant with fish, benefiting her village.
The player has the option to converse with Moana for a chance to explore four distinct destinations within the Moana realm: the Wrecked Boat, the Sea Stack, Small Islands, and the Coral Reef. While in the Coral Reef area, players will stumble upon a torch resting against a rock. This very torch holds the power to disperse the mist that has been impeding Moana's progress. Once the torch is obtained and handed over to Moana, she can triumphantly guide the canoe through the previously obstructive mist.
Beyond the mist lies an enchanting orange ripple pool that beckons players to fish in order to capture the elusive Albino Tuna. Once successfully captured, players are required to present their magnificent catch to the esteemed Moana. Impressed by their fishing skills demonstrated at this extraordinary location, Moana gladly consents to relocate to the captivating Dreamlight Valley.
After paying Scrooge McDuck's construction fee, players can place Moana's Fale in the valley, making her a permanent resident of Dreamlight Valley. Disney Dreamlight Valley is now accessible on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
