Atlus has recently announced the pre-order bonuses for their highly anticipated game, Persona 5 Tactica. Among these bonuses are some Personas that can be obtained as DLC. The game made its initial debut at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, where a thrilling trailer showcased the Phantom Thieves embarking on a brand-new adventure. Subsequently, Persona 5 Tactica was featured at the June 2023 Nintendo Direct, presenting viewers with a brief trailer that provided a deeper look into the gameplay and introduced a new character named Erina. Following the Direct, Atlus opened up pre-orders for the game on various platforms, including PlayStation and Xbox.
Persona 5 Tactica breaks new ground as the first strategy RPG in the Persona series, putting it in the same league as renowned titles such as Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. This installment takes the Phantom Thieves to a captivating world inspired by the French Revolution, with Erina assuming the role of a revolutionary leader. In order to find their way back home, the Phantom Thieves must confront a range of formidable new challenges. Players can enhance their gameplay experience by accessing a variety of DLC, including new Personas.
The initial release of the game is now available for pre-order, and it includes a physical copy of the game as well as two exclusive coasters. The specific coasters you receive will depend on your region and the retailer you choose. Additionally, this version of the game will also come with two free Personas that are exclusive to pre-orders. These Personas, known as Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro, may already be familiar to fans of Persona 5, as they are the initial Personas of the protagonists from the third and fourth games. Both Personas are designed to fit seamlessly with the aesthetic of Persona 5.
There are also three DLC packs available for pre-order and post-launch download, which can be purchased together in the game's Triple Threat Digital Deluxe Edition. These include the Repaint Your Heart Challenge Pack, the Weapon Pack, and the Picaro Summoning Pack + Raoul Persona. More information about each pack was provided on the Xbox store, with the Weapon Pack offering stylish weapon skins. The third pack introduces 11 new Personas for Joker, with many of them originating from Persona 5 Royal. Ten of the DLC Personas are Picaro versions of previously featured Personas, while Raoul is a unique DLC Persona not featured in the Royal story.
However, it is the Repaint Your Heart Challenge Pack that has garnered the most curiosity from fans, as it will feature two new playable characters. A leaker has suggested that this Persona 5 Tactica DLC will include Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa, both popular auxiliary members of the Phantom Thieves. Some fans were already cautious about the game's DLC, given the number of packs included in Royal's launch.
Persona 5 Tactica will launch November 17 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
