Baldur's Gate 3 offers players a plethora of exquisite and valuable equipment to enhance their characters. Although rings and jewelry may not be visible during action-packed moments or travels, they proudly make their appearance in cutscenes, allowing for captivating screenshots.
Within the chests, safes, defeated foes, and intricately designed lockboxes of Baldur's Gate 3 lies a treasure trove, brimming with various amulets. These accessories possess passive abilities that require no active engagement from the character. Additionally, some amulets grant the character unique skills and abilities that transcend their typical class limitations. In Act 1, players should prioritize acquiring a few noteworthy amulets before embarking on the subsequent chapters of the story.
8 The Amulet Of Lost Voices
The Amulet of Lost Voices, a Rare quality amulet, allows the wearer to cast Speak with Dead, a spell that is frequently utilized for both offensive and defensive purposes. This amulet is of utmost importance in obtaining crucial information regarding specific quests and obscure locations. It is noteworthy that any class is capable of casting this spell when wearing the amulet.
The amulet can be discovered in a chest located within the Dank Crypt, one of the initial areas accessible to players near the wreckage of the Illithid ship. Obtaining this amulet also grants the incredible boon of The Final Scribe to any Acolyte in the party.
7 Absolute's Talisman
Upon triumphing over True Soul Gut in the Shattered Sanctum, players have the opportunity to acquire the Absolute's Talisman from her lifeless remains. Although it may not possess extravagant aesthetics, this trinket bestows upon the wearer extraordinary life-preserving capabilities.
This necklace bestows a passive advantage upon the wearer, granting them an upper hand when making death saving throws. Additionally, it empowers them with the ability to cast the spell Aid, once in each passing day, which bestows an additional 5 hit points upon the chosen target.
6 The Spectator Eyes
The Spectator Eyes is an amulet that enhances its wearer's magical abilities. Found towards the end of Act 1 in the Underdark, players who defeat a Spectator will be rewarded with this powerful amulet.
This extraordinary amulet, known for its Very Rare quality, grants the wearer the ability to cast two level 3 spells from the School of Necromancy: Ray of Fear and Wounding Ray. Each spell can be used once per day as a special Ability.
5 Amulet of Selune's Chosen
The Shattered Sanctum, discovered beneath the Goblin Camp in Act 1, holds various prized rewards. Amongst them is the elusive Amulet of Selune's Chosen, securely tucked away in a chest beyond the throne room.
This enchanted amulet grants the wearer the ability to invoke Selune's Dream, a curative spell capable of restoring 1D8 hit points. However, caution must be exercised in choosing when and whom to cast this spell upon, as there is a possibility that it may induce sleep in the target.
4 Komira's Locket
If the player successfully rescues Arabella from the wrath of the Arch Druid, her mother will reward them with her locket. The locket seems to be a gift from her husband, as indicated by the engraving on the back.
The amulet bestows upon the wearer the ability to use the spell Dancing Lights once a day. Though it may not seem significant, for those exploring the treacherous Underdark, it can be the difference between survival and falling victim to the Darkness, which inflicts harm on characters every turn unless they are near a source of light.
3 Silver Pendant
Players can find a Uncommon quality necklace by looting a skeleton seated near a cliff in the Druid Grove. This amulet serves as a testament to the significance of thoroughly exploring and looting in RPGs.
The wearer of this necklace gains the ability to utilize the Guidance spell as a cantrip. Although it may not be a long-term keepsake, this item proves useful at the onset of the game, helping characters with early Ability checks.
2 Tarnished Charm
This seemingly unremarkable and worn-out amulet continues to emit an eerie laughter, paying tribute to its former possessor, Aunt Ethel, the Sorceress. Once she is vanquished, this necklace can be acquired from her remains. While it possesses only a single purpose, it holds immense significance as one of the most invaluable possessions for any RPG player.
By adorning this amulet, the wearer is bestowed with the power of Fey Life, which enhances their odds of successfully overcoming a critical state. The treacherous landscapes of Faerun pose great peril, making this amulet a potential lifesaver for a character.
1 Amulet Of Branding
The Githyanki Creche is where you can find the Amulet of Branding, which is dropped by the Quartermaster. When worn, this amulet grants the wearer a special ability known as Brand the Weak. This unique talent allows the wearer to identify and target the weak points of their enemies, making it easier and more efficient to kill them. Additionally, Brand the Weak can expose vulnerabilities to both magical and physical damage, such as reduced resistance to cold or bludgeoning. By marking the target as Vulnerable, it increases the chances of allies hitting those weak points, making the enemy less resistant to all types of physical damage. This ability is straightforward yet highly effective, providing any party with a crucial advantage in battle.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available on PC and will be released for PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2023. A version for Xbox Series X/S is currently in development.
