Creative Assembly will soon transport players to the Bronze Age with Total War: Pharaoh. This shift back to history after the fantasy realm of Total War: Warhammer 3 is exciting for fans of historical settings. The game not only introduces a new setting, but also promises numerous captivating features for players to enjoy.
While the battles will incorporate new mechanics, a major focus of the new features appears to be on the campaign. The campaign has always played a crucial role in the Total War series, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the historical period. Total War: Pharaoh continues this tradition. Recently, Game Rant had the opportunity to have an exclusive hands-on preview of this popular mode. Over the course of 50 turns, we gained a deeper understanding of one of the many factions in the campaign, and it was an exhilarating experience.
The previous hands-on preview of the Total War: Pharaoh campaign was different from this one, as we were now able to control the formidable Suppiluliuma. This unique faction opened up a whole new realm to discover, with new territories to conquer, enemies to defeat, and intriguing game mechanics to experiment with. Although one might expect a more peaceful beginning due to its separation from the Pharaoh, playing as Suppiluliuma proved to be a challenging experience right from the start.
