For gamers who possess both Call of Duty and Diablo 4, they have the opportunity to connect their accounts and accomplish designated in-game missions in Warzone. By doing so, they will be rewarded with The Butcher's Meat Hook, a valuable item that may take up to four days to manifest in their Diablo 4 wardrobes.
The Haunting limited-time event has recently begun in Call of Duty, offering players a chance to unlock the exclusive weapon The Butcher's Meat Hook, which can be utilized in Diablo 4. Diablo 4 had a tremendously successful launch earlier this year, becoming Blizzard's fastest-selling game with over 10 million copies sold. The first season of content for Diablo 4, titled Season of the Malignant, has concluded, and Season of Blood is now underway.
Call of Duty's Haunting event has brought a spooky atmosphere to the game, featuring exciting crossovers with various popular franchises in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. Season 6 of Call of Duty welcomes appearances from beloved characters such as Spawn, Alucard from Hellsing, Lilith and Inarius from Diablo, Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, and Ash Williams from Evil Dead. Additionally, the event introduces Halloween versions of multiplayer maps El Aslio and Embassy, along with Warzone maps Vondead and the night version of Al Mazrah.
Part of The Haunting event in Call of Duty, a special Diablo 4 transmog weapon called The Butcher's Meat Hook has been introduced for Warzone players. This weapon can be obtained by owning both Call of Duty and Diablo 4, as well as linking your Battle.net account to your Activision account. To acquire The Butcher's Meat Hook, players need to go to Vondeath or the night version of Al Mazrah in Warzone, where they must find, activate, and defend Altars of Lilith on the map. Then, players must defeat The Butcher in his lair by entering the portal that spawns. It may take up to four days for the item to appear in players' Diablo 4 wardrobes, and it can only be used with Necromancer scythe weapons. Call of Duty notes that players can link their accounts before or after defeating The Butcher, and the item will still be unlocked.
While this crossover between Call of Duty and Diablo 4 is exciting, making The Butcher's Meat Hook usable as a melee weapon in Call of Duty, either as a standalone weapon or a cosmetic blueprint for the Dual Kamas, would be even cooler. This addition within The Haunting event could potentially lead to more crossovers with other Blizzard franchises such as Overwatch or Warcraft, allowing players to earn cosmetics in Call of Duty that can be transferred to other titles.
The Diablo 4 Season of Blood coincides with the highly anticipated Call of Duty crossover. Season 6 and The Haunting will mark the end of Modern Warfare 2's seasonal support, making way for the imminent release of Modern Warfare 3. In the meantime, the Call of Duty: Warzone game can currently be accessed on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
