In Armored Core 6, an enigmatic substance called Coral has reappeared on the planet Rubicon 3. When Coral first appeared, it brought about significant technological advancements. Now, extraterrestrial corporations and resistance groups are battling for control over it. Like previous Armored Core games, Armored Core 6 features fast-paced combat and allows players to extensively customize their mechs. This return to its quest-based origins also incorporates elements from the Soulsborne tradition, although it is not a Soulslike game in the same vein as FromSoftware's "brother," Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
