A Stardew Valley player, Blue__Insomniac, stumbled upon an Artifact Spot on the far right side of town. Excited to see what it held, he used his hoe to till the spot, causing a rare dinosaur egg to pop out. Unfortunately, due to the unlucky placement of the spot next to a river, the egg fell into the water shortly after. However, there are other ways to obtain a dinosaur egg in the game, such as defeating the Pepper Rex in the Skull Cavern, winning it in a crane game at the Movie Theater, or finding it in fishing treasure chests.

By quitting the game without saving, players could start the day over and still find the Artifact Spot and its coveted dinosaur egg. This method could be repeated until success was achieved. However, in Blue__Insomniac's case, they had already saved the game for the day, leaving the rare item forever out of reach.
