Unforeseen Setback: Call of Duty Crash Bandicoot Bundle Pulled Amidst Buzz

Call of Duty Crash Bandicoot Bundle temporarily pulled from the game, causing disappointment among players Stay tuned for updates on its highly anticipated return!

The in-game store has temporarily removed the new Call of Duty bundle that celebrates the release of Crash Team Rumble. This removal is due to the bundle being falsely priced. In recent years, Call of Duty and Warzone have seen numerous crossovers featuring popular movie characters, streamers, and other Activision properties, such as Crash Bandicoot.

Ahead of the release of Crash Team Rumble, the Crash Bandicoot cosmetic Tracer Pack was unveiled. This pack includes a total of nine items, including three stickers and an emblem. The standout features of the pack are two weapon blueprints adorned with Crash Team Rumble artwork. One blueprint is for the Fennec 45 SMG, while the other is for the SP-X 80 sniper rifle. Additionally, the bundle offers players a Crash-themed ATV skin for use in Warzone, as well as a comical Wumpa skin for grenades.

The Crash pack, priced at a staggering 2400 points, was a mistake as it should have fallen within the usual range of 1800 COD points or lower. This error resulted in players having to spend $25, just $5 short of the price of Crash Team Rumble itself. Call of Duty addressed the issue on Twitter, assuring fans that the pack would be temporarily unavailable while they corrected the price. Furthermore, players who had bought the bundle at the incorrect price would receive a refund of 600 COD points.

Amidst all this, many fans have been left confused and unable to find the bundle they were looking to purchase. Even at the correct price of 1800 COD points, which amounts to just under $20, some fans are still dissatisfied, considering it to be an excessive amount for what essentially includes two weapon blueprints and a vehicle skin. Despite the inclusion of high-quality skins, such as the crossover skins featuring popular characters like TMNT's Shredder, some argue that paying $25 for a Call of Duty character skin pack is still unreasonable.

Microtransactions in video games can be a frustrating experience for gamers, especially as the prices for games continue to rise. While it's commendable that popular live service games like Call of Duty offer a wide range of cosmetic options for character and weapon customization, the increasing cost of these microtransactions can be a drawback. Unfortunately, fans who are eager to acquire the Crash-themed items in the bundle will have to exercise patience, as the Call of Duty store has not provided an estimated time for their return. Call of Duty: Warzone can currently be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
