Exciting news for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation fans! The second cours of the anime's second season is scheduled to air in Spring 2024. The season kicked off on July 2 with a prequel episode, delving into the story of Sylphy, Rudeus' childhood friend, and her experiences during and after the infamous Teleportation Incident that takes center stage this season. With a total of 25 episodes, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation's second season premiered on Tokyo MX, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it is released.
The Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime series is based on Rifujin na Magonote's light novel series. The novel was originally published on the Narō website from November 2012 to 2015, and was later printed by Media Factory's MF Books in 2013. The novel featured illustrations by Shirotaka, a popular Pixiv artist. Alongside the light novel, a manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa (Gulf Trigger) began serialization in the June 2014 issue of Monthly Comic Flapper, a seinen magazine. Both the light novel and manga adaptation have been licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The first season of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime series consisted of two cours, with the first cour airing in Winter 2021 and the second cour airing in Fall of the same year. In addition, an OVA titled "Eris the Goblin Slayer" was released in 2022 and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
