One of the initial ones players may encounter in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the intriguing case of a malfunctioning robot and its potential consciousness. This robot, reminiscent of Pinocchio, requires assistance, and fortunately, V excels at providing a helping hand when their curiosity is piqued.

In this hidden mission of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, players will traverse the EBM Petrochem Stadium in search of Robot Software that can be uploaded to their latest robotic companion, 1R-ON-LAD. Provided below are the locations of all 1R-ON-LAD Robot Crates in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Where to Find 1R-ON-LAD

To access this secret mission, players must make their way to the EBM Petrochem Stadium. If players have already initiated Phantom Liberty, the stadium will serve as the initial Fast Travel point for Dogtown. Its prominent circular shape on the Night City map makes it easy to spot.

Upon entering the stadium, players should navigate through the black-market district and pass by Herold's store in search of a crate. Inside the crate rests a malfunctioning robot known as 1R-ON-LAD. The robot's location is given away by the sparks emanating from its machinery. Once players locate 1R-ON-LAD above the Vehicle Shop, they can choose to interact with the robot either by speaking to it or by utilizing their optics scanner. The goal will be to connect securely by jacking into the computer system.

By adding 1R-ON-LAD to the player's contacts, V will receive a message. V can respond to the message with a few text messages. 1R-ON-LAD will send V a mysterious photo that players need to locate. Location 1: Outside De Butchery

From 1R-ON-LAD, players should navigate through the market and ascend the stairs on the right. Upon reaching the top, they should take a left turn to locate De Butchery, a shop where consumable aid items can be purchased. Adjacent to the shop, players will find the initial Robot Software. After obtaining it, they must proceed to their mobile device and transfer the gathered data to 1R-ON-LAD, resulting in the revelation of the second location.

Location 2: Beside the Counter in Meds

From 1R-ON-LAD, proceed up the stairs on the right as before. Then, take an immediate right turn to access Meds. This medical clinic is located in the black-market district. Pay no attention to the vendor talking on the phone. On the left side of the vendor's station, players will discover the 2nd Robot Software. They must transfer it once again to 1R-ON-LAD.

Location 3: Militech Crate Outside Herold’s Store

This one is quick and easy, and players can find the 3rd Robot Software by heading down from 1R-ON-LAD and into the black market.

The shop immediately to the left is Herold's. Adjacent to his display of weaponry and mechs, there is a sturdy metal Militech crate. Leaning against this crate, a person can be seen casually enjoying a drink. Concealed within this crate is yet another Robot Software, awaiting discovery by players. Once found, players have the option to transmit the data to 1R-ON-LAD.

Location 4: Inside Sofia’s Gunshop

Located within Sofia's Gunshop is the second to last Robot Software. To find this vendor, players need to navigate through the black market, where a noticeable neon gun sign awaits on the left. Once inside the building, head towards the left side of the counter and jump over a pile of gun cases obstructing the way. Behind these cases lies the coveted Robot Software. Transfer the data to 1R-ON-LAD and get ready for the fifth and final destination.

What To Do With 1R-ON-LAD

When encountering 1R-ON-LAD, players should promptly turn around to face the opposite direction. From this point, they should remain on the elevated level and proceed towards the inconspicuous and tranquil food vendor. Adjacent to this vendor, there is a sloping path that players can jump down to discover a promotional advertisement for the Sasha Devon Experience. Just to the right of this advertisement lies the final Robot Software. However, it is crucial to note that players are unable to transfer this particular software at this location and must return to 1R-ON-LAD to personally carry out the transfer. It's important to be aware that once players access the computer, they won't be able to exit until they have made a decision regarding what to do with 1R-ON-LAD.

Once the players have discovered the whereabouts of all the photo locations featuring 1R-ON-LAD, they must proceed to the upright shipping container where 1R-ON-LAD is located. Adjacent to it, there is a computer that players need to access. By perusing the recently unveiled files, they will gain a comprehensive understanding of what 1R-ON-LAD truly represents. Subsequently, three options will be presented to the players.

Rewriting of

Resetting the robot's memory will result in its malfunction and it will once again return to the stationary position, resembling the state it was in when V initially discovered it, trapped in an unending loop of demise.

Opting to leave the robot undisturbed will cause 1R-ON-LAD to continue standing inside the shipping crate.

If players possess an Intelligence level of 15, they can reprogram 1R-ON-LAD in order for it to showcase its guitar-playing abilities. Regardless of the chosen course of action, there are no additional rewards apart from the sense of accomplishment. Assisting 1R-ON-LAD does not yield any tangible benefits, unless the players desire a robot proficient in playing the guitar. Refurbishing it may therefore be the optimal decision.
