Players will be transported to a new star system in Starfield as they unravel the puzzles it presents. Here, they will uncover the whereabouts of the Scorpion, a feared Starborn vessel housing the Hunter, the infamous killer of a fellow crew member from the Constellation team in Starfield.
With events rapidly unfolding, it becomes imperative to seek answers and possibly seek retribution. By embarking on the 13th main quest in Starfield, players can delve into the destiny that awaits them, their crew, and their ship among the celestial realms.
Hail And Board The Scorpius
Players may be surprised to discover that they have successfully located the Scorpius, and the pilot, known as the Hunter, is equally astonished by this revelation. Without hesitation, players will navigate to their selected system and reach out to communicate with the Scorpius vessel. Regardless of the chosen dialogue option, the Hunter will respond with a playful chuckle and extend an invitation for the captain to come aboard and meet another Starborn individual known as the Emissary.
Both members of the Starborn alliance have agreed to a temporary ceasefire, viewing it as a logical next step to welcome the player on board. Players can initiate the docking procedure to gain entry into the Scorpius and uncover the mysteries that await them within.
Talk To The Hunter
The Hunter greets the player with a chuckle, starting their conversation by introducing the Emissary - the pilot of the Helix. Players may recall the Emissary from the All That Money Can Buy quest, where they attempted to take the Artifact from Neon.
Things take a peculiar turn as the Emissary and the Hunter explain the concept of the Unity in Starfield. This is done by revealing that the Emissary is actually the companion who was killed during the High Price to Pay mission. It's quite surprising to see a familiar face again, especially when it's disclosed that this individual is from a completely different universe and timeline, where the player was the one who perished, and the companion survived to discover the Unity.
By discovering the Unity, one achieves the status of Starborn. This transformation allows them to be reborn and traverse new realms and dimensions. When the Artifacts are appropriately positioned, the Armillary will be assembled, illuminating the path to the Unity. Both the Hunter and the Emissary confirm the fundamental similarity of every universe, emphasizing the Starborn's dedication to achieving unity, even at the cost of innocent lives, including the deceased companion currently communicating with the player.
Adding to the complexity, the Hunter discloses their true identity as Keeper Aquilus. Each Starborn member engages in philosophical debates. The Emissary believes in enforcing order to contain and regulate those drawn to the Artifacts' dangers and the Unity's power. On the other hand, the Hunter argues that individuals possessing the skill and strength to resist should be allowed to grasp eternal power. Despite the player's previous stance of non-involvement in the war or necessity of collaborating with only one person, they now find themselves at a standstill. The Emissary insists on uniting all three members in the room to work collectively.
(Optional) Talk To The Emissary
An optional objective, players can receive additional information from the Emissary regarding their past universe and personal characteristics. While the Emissary may appear friendly due to their familiar face, it is essential to remember that this face belongs to a deceased companion. The Emissary's ability to traverse universes raises doubt about their trustworthiness, just as their deceased companion once did. Acquiring information from the Emissary is highly recommended to progress and gain deeper insights into the Starborn. This mission offers the opportunity for players to obtain numerous answers from their extensive list of inquiries.
(Optional) Talk To The Hunter
When conversing with the Hunter, this character will disclose that the Emissary simply seeks to manipulate them, but players might harbor resentment because of their slaying of their Constellation ally. Players can discern the divergent philosophies held by the two individuals: the Hunter advocates for personal autonomy, while perceiving the Emissary as an authoritarian judge of actions and regulations. The most intriguing aspect is that the Starborn are oblivious to the identities of those who constructed the Artifacts, Temples, and the Unity. They solely comprehend it as a game to conquer and achieve rebirth.
Leave The Scorpius
Upon discovering that Unity serves as a portal to parallel universes, players are encouraged to move on from Scorpius towards their next objective, provided they have obtained some of the desired information from Starborn members. While players may explore the cockpit of Scorpius, there is limited scope for investigation, aside from enjoying the breathtaking view of stars.
As players prepare to depart from Scorpius, the Emissary swiftly intervenes, requesting that they embark on a journey to the Nova Galactic Research Station, located on Earth's Moon within the Sol System. The Emissary entrusts players with the Moon Base Key, granting them access to a hidden secret that the Starborn desires them to witness, accompanied by a sincere apology for the events that have unfolded in this particular universe.
