A player of Marvel's Spider-Man finds themselves trapped inside a truck while attempting to prevent a villain's escape. This unusual occurrence, where Spider-Man is unable to utilize his web-swinging abilities, makes it one of the most peculiar glitches captured on video in the realm of Marvel's Spider-Man.
Among comic book enthusiasts, there is one particular game that surpasses all other superhero titles, namely Insomniac's groundbreaking Marvel's Spider-Man. While there have been previous Spider-Man games, this game distinguishes itself with flawless web-swinging mechanics, an intricately designed and lively depiction of New York City to navigate, and a captivating narrative accompanied by top-tier production values. Marvel's Spider-Man is also highly regarded due to its remarkable gameplay and scarcity of glitches and bugs. However, when such bugs are documented on video, they often prove too amusing to ignore.
A recent Reddit post features a clip of a player in Marvel's Spider-Man attempting to escape from a moving truck while wearing an impressive suit. Initially, it seems that Spider-Man can use his webbing to open the back door of the truck, but it becomes clear that this is not possible. The player tries various methods like jumping around and swinging objects, but to no avail. Ultimately, Spider-Man is left with no choice but to enjoy the ride.
Unfortunately, there is no footage of Spider-Man being pushed into the truck during the player's crime-stopping mission in Marvel's Spider-Man. This is likely because the player did not anticipate it and started recording after the incident. Surprisingly, the interior of the truck resembles graphics from a PlayStation 1 game, with simple textures and lighting. It is impressive that any effort was put into designing the inside of the truck, considering it was not meant to be seen by players. Additionally, it remains unclear why random items are present inside a truck that players were not intended to enter. There is no footage showing how the player eventually escaped the truck, but it is speculated that they either fast-traveled out or quit the game without saving.
While Marvel's Spider-Man has experienced fewer bugs and glitches, there have been a handful of noteworthy ones. Among them is a particularly bizarre and comical glitch where Spider-Man tries to assist Yuri Watanabe's S.W.A.T team, only to witness the characters' limbs wildly flail and swing uncontrollably until the scene concludes. Although these bugs are not prevalent, they certainly provide entertainment value.
