Mauricio Umansky‘s family is featured prominently in the season 2 trailer of Buying Beverly Hills, with his separation from Kyle Richards taking center stage.
In the trailer released on March 14, Mauricio, 53, expressed his stress and how travel has been impacting them to Kyle, 55. The video then showed a scene of the estranged couple sitting at a table with their daughters. (Mauricio and Kyle share Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16. Kyle and ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie share daughter Farrah, 35.)
"We wanted to talk to everyone when we were all in the same place, it just makes sense," Kyle said to the family. "I feel really bad about this, guys."
The scene then showed a part of a clip that had been released earlier, where Mauricio pointed to Kyle as the cause of their breakup. (It was confirmed in July 2023 that Kyle and Mauricio had decided to end their 27-year marriage.)
Kyle and Mauricio’s split will be a major story line on Buying Beverly Hills season 2, but their daughters will also be involved in some drama.

Alexia's leadership at the company is becoming more apparent. The Agency agents are now discussing who will be the next in line to run the business, referring to it as an "heir to the throne" situation. They have observed that Alexia has significantly improved her real estate sales performance over the past year.
As the trailer concludes, one of the agents questions, "So, does this mean I have to start calling Alexia boss now?"
One scene that was not included in the trailer is Mauricio discussing what led to his feud with brother-in-law Rick Hilton.

Mauricio asked for equity but was basically told no. He then discussed with Kyle how his business decisions would affect her relationship with her sister, Kathy Hilton.
After the conversation, Mauricio went home and spoke to Kyle about the potential impact on their family. He expressed concerns about causing stress between Kyle and her sister and family.
