Paris Hilton is upset with Mauricio Umansky for bringing up his family drama on his show, Buying Beverly Hills. Hilton, 43, expressed her disappointment on the Queen of Bravo's Instagram account regarding the new season 2 teaser. She mentioned that her father is a gentleman who always takes the high road and would never speak negatively about his family, especially in the media. Hilton also stated that they are tired of Umansky using the Hilton name to promote his show excessively.
Earlier in the day, Netflix released a sneak peek of a reality series that follows Umansky's real estate agency. In the clip, Umansky, who is 53 years old, talked about his falling out with his brother-in-law and Paris Hilton's father, Rick Hilton.
Umansky expressed feeling mistreated by Hilton and Hyland, saying, "I think I got kind of screwed over by Hilton and Hyland." He elaborated by mentioning that when he was 19 years old, there were 100 agents at Hilton and Hyland, who collectively achieved $1 billion in sales for the first time in a year. Umansky claimed that he was responsible for 19.6 percent of their total production at that time.
Umansky approached Rick, 68, asking for equity and a full partnership in their real estate company. However, he was turned down after their conversation. He also talked to his now estranged wife, Kyle Richards, who is the sister of Kathy Hilton, about how his decision to leave Hilton and Hyland could impact her relationship with her family. (It was confirmed that Umansky and Richards, 55, separated in July 2023.)

Afterwards, I went back home and had a conversation with Kyle. I expressed my concerns about the potential stress this decision could cause within his family. I made it clear that I didn't want to proceed with the plan of leaving and starting a company if he wasn't completely comfortable with it. Fortunately, Kyle's sister was incredibly supportive of our decision.
Umansky founded The Agency after leaving the real estate group. The Agency has been featured on Buying Beverly Hills, where Umansky works with his daughter Alexia and stepdaughter Farrah Aldjufrie.
In a confessional, Umansky expressed his respect for Hilton and Hyland, emphasizing that he would never speak poorly of them. He mentioned being Rick's brother-in-law but shared that things turned sour, causing family tensions, especially affecting Kyle who stopped speaking to her family.
Umansky has openly discussed his departure from Hilton and Hyland on his TV show as well as in his book, The Dealmaker, published in April 2023. Following the book's release, Umansky shared exclusively with Us that he and Rick have maintained a strong working relationship despite his exit.
The second season of Buying Beverly Hills will debut on Netflix on Friday, March 22.

Paris Hilton's public criticism of Mauricio Umansky's decision to discuss their family drama on "Buying Beverly Hills" highlights the complexities of navigating personal and professional relationships in the public eye. While Umansky claims to have always maintained a respectful attitude towards Hilton and Hyland, Hilton's disappointment suggests a different perspective. The situation raises questions about the boundaries between family loyalty and personal ambition.
Moreover, Umansky's willingness to delve into family tensions on national television has potential consequences for his relationship with Kyle Richards, who is Hilton's aunt. Richards' support for her husband's decision to leave Hilton and Hyland may have contributed to her estrangement from her family, adding another layer of complexity to the already-strained family dynamics. It remains to be seen how this public airing of private matters will affect the relationships within the Hilton and Umansky families in the long run. serve as a reminder that professional choices can have far-reaching consequences within families and that navigating such complexities requires sensitivity and discretion.
