Epic Games announces the comeback of Fortnite's Fortnitemares event, filled with Halloween-themed excitement. Players can look forward to new rewards and skins for iconic characters. Fortnite's strong presence in the Battle Royale genre is partly due to its constant stream of updates and seasonal content. Epic Games has successfully collaborated with numerous franchises and IPs, spanning video games, movies, TV shows, and comic book characters from Marvel and DC.

The live service model ensures that players can expect holiday-inspired content, including the annual Fortnitemares event in October. In the past, Fortnitemares has introduced new weapons, skins, and game modes like Horde Rush, where players unite to defeat Cube Monsters. This year's edition promises surprises and maintains the tradition of delivering an exciting and spooky experience.

Accompanied by a brief trailer, the official Fortnite website provided a comprehensive post about the Fortnitemares 2023 event. This year's event features renowned characters such as Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas, in addition to the inclusion of Rick and Morty last year. Alongside each skin, there are corresponding emotes, back blings, and gliders. Epic has confirmed that the Shop will also showcase both new and returning outfits from previous Fortnitemares events, including Seth, Bogstick, Phantom Meowscles, and Festival Phaedra.

In addition to the diverse range of skins, Fortnitemares is reintroducing the Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and the Sanguine Sweets (Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans) from the vault. These will be accompanied by new additions such as Thorne's Vampiric Blade and the Wood Stake Shotgun. Players can engage in quests for both Horde Rush and Fortnitemares, with specific rewards for completing 5, 15, and 25 quests. These rewards include Back Blings, Icons, Emotes, Wraps, and various other items.

As Fortnitemares, the popular holiday event, approaches, it coincides with the recent announcement from Epic Games regarding a price increase for Fortnite's premium currency, V-bucks. The adjustment, set to take effect on October 27, falls right in the midst of the event, prompting fans to seize the opportunity to acquire the new seasonal offerings at the current prices before the cost of purchasing premium currency rises.
