Epic Games has recently launched the Summer Escape event for Fortnite, bringing a range of vacation-themed content to their popular battle royale game. Interestingly, this event was introduced shortly after the prices for Fortnite V-Bucks increased in certain regions. Fortnite is known for regularly hosting events to mark the changing seasons, with its previous summer event, the No Sweat Summer update, being just under a year ago. This update included a multitude of quests, cosmetics, and weapons, all available in the free-to-play game.
Fortnite Summer Escape Event Quests
: Introducing Sunswoon Lagoon, a brand new location added to Summer Escape. This tropical paradise is accessible only during the event, which concludes on July 18th at 9 a.m. EST. Nestled within the Wilds lush jungle biome, Sunswoon Lagoon is situated to the west of Creeky Compound in the central area of the Battle Royale island.The Quench questsprogressively become available July 4 - July 7

Completing 14 of the newly introduced Summer Escape quests will reward players with the Wild Fronds Back Bling backpack. Additionally, four more quests will net them the Bugsy Glider. For those who manage to complete 24 Summer Escape quests until July 18, they will also receive a new Lagoon Escape loading screen and the Toasted Coconut emote. Another time-limited opportunity during the event is the offer of an Artifact Axe Pickaxe, which can be obtained by destroying 10 stones after July 11. Players who perform the mantle maneuver within 30 seconds of bursting through a door from July 12 will be rewarded with the Starry Sea Wrap skin for weapons and outfits.
As part of the Summer Escape event, the Flare Gun will temporarily be replaced by the flashier Firework Flare Gun. Several summer-themed Fortnite consumables, including Lil Whip's Special Serve and Frozen Ice Cream Cone, have also made their return. Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive the Nanner Buddy Back Bling by logging into the game during Summer Escape. The event also offers a chance to obtain new and returning outfits, such as Chaos Explorer, Opal, and Purradise Meowscles.
It is likely that this update is not the final content addition that Fortnite will receive in the upcoming months. In April, a leak showcased an image of a new summer vehicle for Fortnite that was not included in the Summer Escape announcement. Fortnite can be played on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
