Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill playfully teased that his ex-teammate Travis Kelce is "so famous" that he doesn't respond to his messages.
"I texted Kelce, and he still hasn't replied," Hill, 29, quipped on Thursday, January 11, before the Wild Card game between the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, January 13. "He's probably too busy with his Taylor Swift obsession."
He jokingly mentioned that he hasn't reached out to Patrick Mahomes since their team was defeated by Kansas City, hinting at the game on November 5. Hill also commented, "I guess those guys are too famous for me now."

Since being traded in 2022, Hill has made a name for himself in Miami, following six seasons with Kansas City. As he prepares for the playoffs to defend the Chiefs' title in Super Bowl LVIII, the 34-year-old Kelce may have fallen behind on his texts. In an effort to rest before the remainder of the season, the tight end even sat out during the January 10 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. This decision prevented him from breaking the record for NFL tight end with the most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, falling just 16 receiving yards short of his eighth consecutive year and ending the regular season with 984 receiving yards.
During an episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Kelce expressed his desire to rest in the upcoming week, avoid turf-related injuries in L.A., and minimize hits in preparation for the playoffs. He emphasized that he was more concerned about the playoffs than breaking any records, with his primary focus on the big game scheduled for February 11.
Kelce further stated, "I've never defined my season by reaching 1,000 yards. For me, the ultimate failure is losing a Super Bowl."

Kelce's popularity has soared since he and Taylor Swift went public with their relationship in September 2023. While the pair have publicly supported each other, they are taking their relationship one step at a time, despite rumors of an engagement.
In January, a source exclusively told We that Travis and Taylor have no intention of getting engaged this summer. "While things are going amazingly well between them, they haven't been together for a year and still have a lot to learn about each other."
