Trump Refuses Testimony in Civil Fraud Trial on Monday

Former President Trump cancels plans to testify in his civil fraud trial, as stated on his social media platform The trial, scheduled for Monday in New York, will now proceed without his testimony

In a recent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump announced that he has decided not to testify in his civil fraud trial scheduled for Monday in New York. In his statement, Trump emphasized "WILL NOT BE TESTIFYING ON MONDAY. MAGA!" in all caps.

Trump had already provided testimony during the trial in response to questions from the New York attorney general's office. His lawyers were expected to question him as part of his defense on Monday.

"President Trump has completed his testimony. There is nothing further to add for a judge who has imposed an unconstitutional gag order and, so far, seems to have disregarded President Trump's testimony and that of all other parties involved in the complex financial transactions under scrutiny in this case," stated Trump's attorney Chris Kise in a statement. Kise also added, "The Attorney General's relentless and unreasonable pursuit of President Trump appears to be aimed at driving profitable businesses out of New York. Given these circumstances, there is no valid reason for President Trump to provide further testimony in this case."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
