Travis Kelce isn't just a football star - he's also making a difference in the Kansas City community. Recently teaming up with Rebuilding Together Kansas City and his foundation, 87 & Running, the 34-year-old athlete helped save Gloria White's home. White, a longtime Kansas City resident who once competed at the Olympic trials, shared in a video posted by both nonprofits that she has lived in her house for 56 years.
In a clip shared on Wednesday, January 10, White expressed her love for her home, adding that despite her age, she still feels like "wonder woman." However, the house no longer met her needs, according to Rebuilding Together Kansas City executive director Scott Hickox. "When we assessed her home, we found a variety of essential improvements that were needed. These included a new roof, gutters, safety latches on the doors, and renovations in the bathroom and kitchen," Hickox reported to local news station KSHB 41 on Friday, January 12. "We were able to make significant improvements."
Hickox shared that when Kelce found out about White's crumbling home, he generously donated the funds needed to cover all the repairs. "For Travis to show such concern, and for his foundation to demonstrate such care for the community and the struggles in Kansas City, partnering with us meant the world," Hickox emphasized.

White expressed her excitement over her new home in a social media video for the project, especially praising the new kitchen and revitalized yard. She also received a signed Kelce jersey, which she graciously thanked the gifter for.
Kelce’s dedication to serving his community was highlighted once again when the tight end expressed his intention to continue playing football, bringing joy to locals. He has also brought pride to Kansas City with his on-field contributions, including helping the team secure two Super Bowl championships in the last decade. Additionally, his high-profile friendship with Taylor Swift has garnered attention for the organization.
Every time Swift, 34, shows support at one of Kelce’s games, she is easily identifiable. Her decision to openly cheer for Kelce has led to a significant increase in NFL jersey sales.
A spokesperson for the NFL's official e-commerce partner, Fanatics, reported in a statement obtained by CNN in September 2023, "Yesterday, Travis Kelce was among the top five best-selling NFL players and experienced nearly a 400 percent surge in sales across the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com."

Three months later, Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis' brother, shared that their jerseys were selling like hotcakes in the U.K., which they credited to Swift.
"Our jerseys are the top two sellers in the United Kingdom," Jason, 36, informed Travis during a December 2023 episode of their "New Heights" podcast. "Travis, your jersey is the best-selling - nice to know we're still number one in something these days - and mine is at number two. It's unbelievable - it's Travis, then me, and then [Patrick] Mahomes and Jalen Hurts."
