Travis Kelce had a fantastic night at the Oscars. Producer Tommy Alter shared on Instagram that Cord Jefferson had plans to write a movie during covid, but things took a different turn.
Alter posted several new photos from the 96th Academy Awards. One of the pictures showed American writer and director Jefferson, 42, and Kelce, 34, hanging out at a post-awards party. Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, looked sharp in a black suit paired with a silver choker and bracelet. He even held up Jefferson's Oscar statue.
Jefferson won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay during the ceremony on Sunday, March 10th.
Jefferson expressed his happiness in creating the movie and hopes others can feel the same joy. He mentioned in his victory speech that there are talented filmmakers like the next Martin Scorsese and Greta Gerwig out there, just waiting for an opportunity. He thanked everyone involved in the movie for believing in him, a 40-year-old Black man who had never directed before.
Tommy Alter shared a post on Instagram. Alter and Jefferson went to the Oscars at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. Kelce did not attend the ceremony but was reportedly at Madonna’s exclusive afterparty with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. According to British Vogue, the couple made an appearance at the Gucci-sponsored event known for its no-photography rule.
Kelce and Swift, who are both 34 years old, have been in a relationship since the summer of 2023. They first met at one of Swift's Eras Tour concerts in Kansas City in July. Their relationship became public in September 2023 when Swift attended her first Chiefs football game with Kelce.
In a profile with TIME magazine in December 2023, Swift explained what it means to have a public relationship. She shared that being public means supporting each other in public, doing what they love together, and not caring about other people's opinions. Swift emphasized that they are proud to be with each other and show their relationship openly.
Swift later went to 12 more games of Kelce, including Super Bowl LVIII in February. After seeing the Chiefs win their second Lombardi Trophy in a row, Kelce showed her support by attending the international leg of Swift's Eras Tour.
Having completed the Australian and Asian legs earlier this month, Swift and Kelce are currently in the "nesting" phase at her L.A. home.
"They are prioritizing rest, relaxation, and spending quality time together at home," a source exclusively shared with We earlier this week. "They are having low-key and chill moments, enjoying movie nights in her home theater, and catching up on films and shows they've missed."
