Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce might have a future in rapping if they ever decide to give it a shot. During a recent episode of their podcast "New Heights" on Wednesday, April 10, the brothers invited musician and comedian Lil Dicky as a guest. They put Lil Dicky to the test by asking him to come up with rap names for themselves. Travis, 34, asked Lil Dicky if he could help give them some cool rap names, and Lil Dicky happily agreed.

"Random thoughts keep popping into my head. I was thinking about Stick Shift for you, it just seems to suit you," Lil Dicky shared with Jason, 36, as the athletes all burst into laughter.

He had a different idea for Travis though, suggesting that he deserved something a bit "cooler" than his older brother. "I think Smoov, like, Smoov Trav," he suggested, making Travis smile with gratitude.

The tight end replied enthusiastically, "Hey, I'm Smoov Trav."

Travis liked the idea, but Lil Dicky wasn't fully convinced about either option. He said, "I'll consider it. I believe we could possibly defeat both teams."

Lil Dicky has been open about the origins of his rap name, which date back to his childhood. In a March 2020 interview with Vulture, the artist revealed that he chose his stage name because of his experiences with his penis.

He shared, "There’s no way to tell my life’s story without talking about my penis at some point. I literally had surgeries on my penis as a child." Lil Dicky expressed that despite having a privileged and fortunate life, he still struggles with insecurities and self-deprecation, with his penis being a significant factor in that.

He explained that in order to share his journey as an artist, a rapper, and a person, he needed to address the topic of sexual insecurity.

Despite the playful nature of the name Lil Dicky, it held a deeper, more personal meaning for him. In fact, he devoted an episode of his FX comedy series Dave to explore his struggles, providing viewers with a close-up view of his experiences.

"That episode really represents me being true to myself," he said. "Being honest can really connect with people, which is why I felt comfortable going all out and pushing boundaries in that moment. It was important to give it my all. I believe anyone who struggles with insecurities can understand and relate to this episode."
