Everton is on the verge of finalizing a loan agreement with Jack Harrison following Aston Villa's withdrawal from their pursuit of the Leeds winger. The deal is expected to be a straightforward loan without any provision for Everton to purchase the 26-year-old.
Aston Villa enquired about a similar deal but pulled out because of Harrison's injury.
The former Manchester City player is currently sidelined and likely to miss several weeks of the season.
Harrison is now due to undergo a medical on Merseyside before joining Sean Dyche's squad.
Everton are also interested in Leeds forward Wilfried Gnonto.
The Italy international has ruled himself out of selection for the club's recent fixtures, despite being told he will not be sold during the summer window.
