Two Palestinian men were fatally shot in the head by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during an incursion in the Nur Shams refugee camp near Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank early on Sunday, according to Palestinian officials. The individuals have been identified as Aseed Farhan Abu Ali, 21, and Abd al-Rahman Suleiman Abu Daghash, 32, as confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Abu Daghash was shot by an Israeli sniper in his own home, as reported by Taha al-Irani, the leader of the popular resistance committee in the camp. This marked the third Israeli raid on the camp this year, resulting in severe damage to the electricity and water services.

Six Palestinians were fatally shot by the Israeli military in three distinct incidents within the span of 24 hours. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declared that their troops had entered the region with the aim of dismantling an "operational command center" of militants and neutralizing numerous pre-armed explosive devices.
According to Palestinian state media WAFA, Israeli forces entered the camp with a significant presence and used military bulldozers to destroy the main street and infrastructure. Additionally, Israeli occupation snipers positioned themselves on the roofs of residents' homes. Inside the camp, medic Najeeb Adeeb reported that over 60 Israeli military vehicles were involved in the incursion, accompanied by intense gunfire. Adeeb's team provided immediate medical attention to seven individuals with shrapnel injuries and transferred two others to a hospital in Tulkarem.
Videos shared by residents of the camp obtained by CNN depicted military vehicles entering the premises, with at least one vehicle being struck by an improvised explosive device (IED). Additional visual evidence displayed streets ravaged by bulldozers, as reported by the residents.
According to the IDF, one of their soldiers sustained "moderate injuries" caused by fragments from gunfire during the operation.
During the counterterrorism operation, IDF engineering vehicles were utilized to detect explosive devices that had been hidden beneath roads in the area. The statement noted that the vehicles successfully uncovered several explosive devices, including at least one IED, all of which subsequently detonated.
In addition, the suspects engaged the forces by firing shots and throwing explosive devices. The IDF responded with live fire and confirmed hitting the targets.
In September, Israel conducted a raid on the camp, resulting in the death of a Palestinian man and injuries to two others. The camp was established in 1952 to provide shelter for refugees who were displaced from their homes during the war following Israel's establishment. According to the UN refugee agency, the camp currently has 13,519 registered refugees, who face challenges such as overcrowding, unemployment, and inadequate sanitation.
A general strike has been announced in the camp and Tulkarem.
